Have had a bad cold for 15 days, chest infection, coughing sputum all night. Just been prescribed 30 mg Prednisone once daily for 5 days, because of tightness in chest. Very concerned about the side effects & stopping 30 mg after 5 days....please help ASAP

There is no need to be concerned about stopping it, after 5 days, the U.S. FDA has found that it only needs to be tapered if it has been taken for 21 days, or more.
Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nervousness and acne.
Which ones are you worried about? Perhaps they can be addressed to help you.
