Prednisone And Soma

I just started a 10 day round of 10 mg of Prednisone 2x a day and I usually take either a Soma or an Alprazolam to help me sleep. Can I still take one of the meds to help me sleep?

Hello Karen,

Unfortunately if the doctor has not instructed you to continue taking the medication I would advise against it. Prescription medication should only be taken as the doctor has instructed. What I can tell you is that from what I read on the NIH drug interaction site predisone and soma do not have any listed interactions. Again I advise that you keep your doctor informed of all the medication that you will be taking and not to take chances with your health.
