Prazosin For Enlarged Prostate

I take 1mg of Prazosin for an enlarged prostate. Although it has stopped me waking up 2 or 3 times to do a pee in the night, I still wake up usually between 5am-6am dying for the toilet. I take it every night at 9pm. Should I take it earlier around 6pm or up my dosage? Thank you.

As you age, it is normal to start having to wake up to urinate, when it becomes a problem is when its several times a night, and disrupts your entire sleep pattern, but once isn't generally considered a problem.

What has your doctor advised? You should speak with them regarding your specific needs, before making a change to your medication regimen.

Prazosin may cause side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, tiredness, headache, and urinary retention.
