Pravastatin And Bad Side Effects

Has anyone been harmed by using Pravastatin?

I recently had a 2nd MI and was put on Crestor in hospital, sent home w/script for Pravastatin 80 mgs. I am 6 days post starting this statin and for 4 days have had severe lower back pain and lower abdominal pain severe enough to go to ER as well as taking a half tab of Vicodin to ease the pain enough to partially function. There were only 2 new meds added to my normal regime since 4/15/10.

I am getting this severe pain within 3 hours of the once a day dosage so am inclined to think it is caused by the statin.

Have not been able to tolerate any form of statins for well over 10 years but my doctor was insistant while in the hopsital. Am close to stopping this med and will discuss with my family doctor today. Anyone else have or had this situation? The pain is worse than the MI was.

I WAS RECENTLY TAKEN OFF OF ANOTHER STATIN BECAUSE OF LEG AND HIP MUSCLE PAIN!I WAS THEN PLACED ON PRAVASTATIN. I NOW HAVE PAIN IN MY HIP MUSCLE AND LOWER BACK MUSCLE AREA SINCE TAKING THIS NEW ONE IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE TO STATINS?

I started taking Pravastatin 40mg a week ago. My itinerary is a light green and my back hurts on the left side is yhis normal?

I have been taking pravastatin for 3 weeks now. I have knee and calf pain to where I can barely walk. I am stopping it and calling my doctor on Monday...also have had some depression...which had stopped after starting synthroud...my nails are starting to look bad.....I think I will stick with the cholesterol...being a little high...these meds are ridiculous.

I was on Pravastatin 20 mg, then raised to 40 and I started seeing blue light in my eyes. I went to an eye specialist, had a cat scan done on my eyes and nothing was wrong. I believe it is a side effect of drug.

I was released from the hospital and I had an Agina attack. I was prescribed a 10 mg pravastatin sodium to take once daily and I was prescribed 60 propranolol 20mg tablets to take twice a day. I just called for a refill and had to call my Dr.'s office because I was given 10mg instead for twice a day. I was informed it was the wrong dosage given. Now my question is, could this cause problems for me by being given the wrong dosage and now switching? Should I be concerned?

Try nutrim. It took mine down 30 points. My doctor said I do not think this will do much, but it did.

Been on Pravastatin-40mg for 5 months now. Notice that my hair is bolding, thiner, and falling out little by little..ASK MY DOCTOR TO TAKE ME OFF OF IT AND HE WOULD NOT.
Also been on other meds Seizure meds, & b/p meds LOSARTAN Tab 25 mg and Metoprol Tab-50.
Was on two kinds of Metoprol 25 & 50 at the same time and had NO PROBLEMSHope that this HELPSOMEONE
