Positive Urine Drug Testing Showing Norfentanyl

A patient's urine drug screen showed positive for norfentanyl. The patient is highly allergic to fentanyl. Can a lidocaine patch cause a false positive?

I would love to know that answer too because the same thing happened to me. I am on so many meds who knows what is doing what? ridiculous

good morning to all.,I a 66 year. old female who has been on pain meds since I was. 45 my pain doctor ordered a drug test and I was happy to do that I knew everything would be ok because I do not take any other meds,well guess what it came back positive for fentanyl I was in shock and of course the doctor does not believe me when I toled him that I never have used that drug I swear by every thing I believe in I a willing to take a lie detector test to prove my case he does not want any part of it he just decharged me if I have my meds taken away from me I will jump off the nearest bridge.that is how much pain I am in.to all the doctors out there the main reason people have jumped on the heroin ban do wagon when you take our meds away and than we can not find a doctor that will give you pain meds back than we have no other course to take but to hit the streets for heroin this is the doctors fault that took away our meds.Please someone help me how can I prove that I have ever not taken that drug,I can promise I will not longer be alive if I can't get help. Thank You for the time you took to read this.....
