In the original, sealed bottles from the manufacturer, it has a shelf-life of 3 years from the date of production.

However, once they bottles have been opened, such as by your pharmacy or doctor and dispensed to you in a separate container to fill your prescription, this changes to 1 year, after which time, they start to lose potency.

Pontalon contains the active ingredient Mefenamic Acid, which is most commonly used to help prevent or stop bleeding.

Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and blood clots.
