what is this drug used for is it similar to vicodin?, and is it used to relieve pain?

No.... it is nothing like Vicodin (hydrocodone). It may help with pain because of it's subtle ant-depressant quality, and very good non narcotic sleep aid. I sleep all night with trazodone. THAT is a miracle for me!

This tablet is manufactured by Pliva and they list it as containing 100mgs of Trazodone, which is an antidepressant that is also used to help with insomnia. (NDC 50111-434)
Inactive Ingredients:
- Silicon Dioxide - Anhydrous Lactose - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and mood changes.

You most likely cannot take those medications together. I ran a lookup at the UCLA Health website and it states that Trazodone and Buprenorphine (an active ingredient in Suboxone) have a potentially severe drug interaction. I hope that helps and be well.
