Plavix Withdrawal Symptoms

My doctor took me off Plavix two weeks ago, and I`ve noticed the bruise`s on my forearm`s starting itching alot!! Also started getting little blisters, before the itching. Is this normal? & what should I put on it until I see my doctor in 5more day`s?

Plavix contains Clopidogrel, which is an antiplatelet agent used to help prevent clotting, so it does have an effect on circulation, so this could be a reaction to being taken off of it suddenly, because your body has to readjust to not having the medication, now.

Withdrawal symptoms can manifest in many different ways.

What you are describing is basically a type of hives, which means the histamine receptors in your body are probably being oversensitive, right now.

There are many topical allergy products on the market that you can purchase in any drug store, that might help.

Another thing you may want to try is Benadryl/Diphenhydramine, though you should check with your doctor or pharmacist first, if you are taking any other medications.
