Am 78 and had 2 stents put in 6-1/2 years ago. Taking Plavix 75 mg and aspirin 81 mg. Gradually have seen darkening of skin on the ankles. /seems micro hemorrhaging under the skin. Does any one know if the could be a side effect of taking these drug?

Yes, it certainly could be due to blood thinning that these medications are causing, according to NIH reports, they can also cause easy bruising as a side effect.
Why are you taking both, since they essentially do that same thing, though?
Are you on any other medications? Did your doctor instruct you to take both?
