plaquinil destroyed my father's bone marrow. he took it for 6 yrs unaware of this as a side effect. he now has CHF and has been in and out of the hospital for the past month with 4 units transfused.

Very sorry to hear that Patricia, unfortunately all medications have side effect risks and sometimes to treat another condition or to get well, we have to take the risk if there are no other options.
