Plan B And Next Ovulation Cycle?

My partner and I are ready to start trying to conceive. Just not this month. We plan to start trying as of August on my next ovulation and however long it takes. I use this app that tells me my high fertility days and i have been tracking it with test strips and it's pretty accurate. I had unprotected intercourse on Saturday, 7/18 and my first day of high fertility started on 7/20, however i am aware that sperm can live in you for up to 5 days. If i take a plan b pill, it will either delay ovulation or stop the egg from releasing. Will this affect my ovulation window for next month? If the egg is stopped from releasing, what happens to the egg?

Hello, Ang! How are you?

Any egg that isn't released is harmlessly reabsorbed into your body.

However, if you're trying to get pregnant, why do you want to take the Plan B?

Whether you get pregnant this month or next, there isn't going to be a huge difference.

And yes, it will most likely throw off your cycle for a couple months, in a row. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and irregular cycles.
