Pink Vs Orange Adderall

Is there a difference in the potency of the generic oval orange 30mg and the generic round pink 30 mg?
Re: cmurder (# 25)
My own doctor doesn’t agree with you.
Re: David (# 1)
You were right except that the potency can also be different. Generic medications are legally allowed to be up to 20% different in strength from the name brand, either stronger or weaker. So if the orange ones are 20% stronger than name brand and the pink ones are 20% weaker that’s a huge difference in efficacy between the two.
Re: DrMerritt (# 164)
Wow, I believe you. I have been in on Adds for only about 3 years. I take a total of 30 mg a day (which I see in comparison to some it’s not that much, not judging at all. I just thought I was in a high dosage) and have only had it filled at Walgreens. I get 30/30s oval orange (Footballs), split 1 in half in am one in early pm, literally changed my life. As an African American Male, mental health and the idea of something being wrong and needing to seek medical attention for that mental health issue, well that’s not something highly talked about. However since I have took steps to improve my wellbeing I have only taken the “Footballs” unfortunately, for the month of November, I was given some Pink E 345 which I was told were the exact same… THEY ARE NOT. I don’t feel them working which makes, not function at my best and what’s more I actually do worse because, I kill time completing mundane task, which I usually do as I am waiting for my usual peep. Disappointingly I’m just not motivated to move past those time wasters, because my peep up feeling never comes and the desire to do what I know I need to do, it never arrives. It really sucks and unless it’s something another person has experience with, it’s really hard to explain how you feel and you come off as a lazy ass. So thank you for taking the time to explain, I not only fully agree but I can affirm that what you said is correct and I will be going back to Walgreens immediately.
Re: David (# 1)
100% correct.
As a Master Chemist I can answer this.
It is that you are experiencing a sensitivity (which is more common than not) to the fillers aka binding ingredients.
It’s expected that absorption is the same among all people which is simply not the case.
It’s just a matter of which one works best for you.

This site also has a couple of lists with pictures in case anyone wants to compare.

People keep describing the meds by shape and color. But, different brands have the same shape and color. And color can be different within the same brand depending on strength.
Drug lookup tool. Can identify almost any pill. The Labeler / Supplier might not agree with the label. For example, Brand NorthStar has 2 formularies. One is made by Aurobindo, the other sun pharma. (Not sure if it still sells the one made by Sun, but have seen the Aurobindo one). They come up as Sun or Aurolife (American subsidiary of Aurobindo) in the lookup.
Drugs.com has a list of 245 pill images for generic Adderall, most with a picture.

For one If you aren't getting enough sleep the medication want work. Its best to meditate, clear your mind & Aura. Doctors recommend that people on ADHD medications take a daily vitamin pack. Love yourself, eat a well balanced diet and stay hydrated. ??
Brother swears pink oval 30 much better then orange round 30. I have had both and did actually feel and notice a metabolic difference. For me the ovals gave more energy and did a better job of curbing appetite. Locally here we are able to get the pink oval at Walgreens and my brother thinks CVS also. FHCP pharmacy, Grocery Pharmacy & smaller pharmacies is where we have gotten the round orange. Hope that helps, as of February 2022 I am still able to get the pink oval so they are still made.

You need to go to independent pharmacies
Re: DrMerritt (# 164)
I've been taking Adderall for 22 years and yes all the various manufacture brands are different. There's like 10 generic manufacturers now, so it's getting complicated. First of all Adderall has never been the same since Shire sold it to Barr in the early summer of 2007 (Shire Adderall was amazing... there has been nothing even close to it since). And then Barr was the second best until it became Teva/Barr, which I want to say was around 2010-11. For me Corepharma has been the best since, but I haven't been able to get it for the last 3 years (apparently it's now Epic Pharma). Every 6 months or so I would switch to Teva, to help prevent a Corepharma tolerance.
It's pretty weird that switching to any different generic is like taking a completely different drug. They even have different side effects. It's been around 10 years since I tried Sandoz... Sandoz was alright (I know most people prefer it). I've been taking Teva for the last 3 years, which is ok... it's one of the easier brands to find and it's a decent brand for me... at this point I'm not really thrilled about any of the brands, but I prefer Corepharma/Epic Pharma if I can get it. Arobindo or whatever it's called was pretty bad. Northstar was pretty bad as well... but it was the same thing as Arobindo, because they contract to other manufacturers and that's who they got it from the time I ordered it.
Re: 6Pack Tam (# 20)
rite aid has the white ones all the time!
Re: David (# 1)
That’s not exactly true. Generic medicine can vary up to 20% in active ingredient stronger or weaker. From the brand name, not each other.
So one generic may be up to 20% stronger than brand while another is 20% weaker, which is a big difference between the two.
To OP- I hated the pink ones. The brand that prints an M on them (not sure the color) tend to be weak. And I think the Aurobindo brand are bad.
Re: davemp88 (# 170)
Yes, where were you able to find Sandoz Adderall?
Re: Apadron71 (# 168)
You wouldn't happened to be located near LA or Orange County are you? In case I have to have the prescription transferred. 24 Hour CVS's tend to have a bigger stock/supply and availability of specialty or particular manufactured medications; of which I require* (*Per My Physician's Prescription Instructions)
Re: Apadron71 (# 168)
Where is the CVS you were able to locate the Sandoz Generics? I get a 90-day supply, and I take it 3 times a day, and even though 3 months ago I ordered a prescription there for 180 tablets and it came the next day, but for some reason I noticed my doctor wrote, "*Don't take with alprazolam" on my adderall prescription, but prescribed me both. my 90 alprazolam and 270 adderall, on separate prescriptions, that I turned in all at the same time as instructed to do by my doctor. For some reason though, my pharmacy is having trouble getting the 270, even though im paying cash, and the pharmacist knows me, and told me that they were on temporary backorder but should be coming in soon. Is anyone else experiencing this? I didn't wanna take the prescription back because I want to try to keep my prescriptions mostly at the same pharmacy. So I don't know if she wants to wait til next month, or if they really can't get the Sandoz adderall right now?

Talk time MD in December 20’ about this specific matter
My behavioral health medicine management
100% true. I did not ask my DR this way shape of forms
Suggesting other generic might work better. It’s a case by case basis I but is ABSOLUTELY TRUE ( just circumstantial, not sure why it effects others that was and some not at all.
DR Stephen Croley (Kentucky behavioral health specialists and medication managment) management ) told me that some of the genericS are less effective. No for all but for a decent enough amount for him to recommend I switch up pharmacy’s.
Re: Wendy (# 2)
CVS has them.
Re: Jenn (# 4)
I used to go to Walgreens until they no longer had a contract with my insurance. I got orange ones at Walgreens and pink at CVS. I prefer the orange.
