Pill Identification-herbal Or

My fiance has pills in a prescription bottle that are not the pills that belong in them. I am wondering if I should be concerned. Since they are in a different bottle than what they came in. I know it's shady it me to look, but before I ask him, I wanted to look first.

They are long narrow, white, oblong pill. When cut in half it's light brown that turns darker when wet. Smells herbal or tea like.

He complains of back and nerve pain, but hasn't seen the Dr. He takes blood pressure pills. That's the bottle they are in. An old blood pressure pills script bottle.

About 20mm long. No marking. Smooth on outside. White. Inside is brown.

Couple it be pain pills from Mexico?
Marijuana pills?
Weight loss?
Impotence?

According to the [1] FDA imprint regulations the pill you are describing is not a controlled medication distributed in the U.S. This means that the pill could be all of the things you mentioned and more. Pills from foreign countries, dietary pills, vitamins, supplements, otc medication and so many other pills sold in the U.S. do not have to have an imprint and since there is such a large number of pills available that match your description it would be extremely difficult to identify these ones.

All hope is not lost though, if you truly need to know the contents of the pills there are many websites and companies that deal in the business of identifying pills for a fee.
