Pill Marking Sz 210 Roud Pink Tablets Labeled Losartan 25mg

My Pharmacy switched my prescription from the green pills that are Oval shape to these pink pills that are round and are not as effective with the control of my high blood pressure. What am I taking because it is not Losartan as before.

This tablet is listed by the U.S. FDA as containing 25mgs of Losartan, however, there can be some slight differences in generic medications.

They do allow them to differ in the amount of the active ingredient by as much as plus or minus 20%, they consider this an acceptable therapeutic window and, for most people, it doesn't make a difference. However, if you are sensitive to medications, then any fluctuation could cause a problem.

Have you tried asking the pharmacy if they can order the other one in for you? Or perhaps speaking to your doctor about adjusting your dosage?
