I had 2 cataract surgeries last year. The second one the first part of Nov. 2014, both times the Prednisone left me weak. But I recovered quickly. The middle of Nov. I had my heart shocked to restore proper rytrhym. After that I started taking flecanide. 3 months later. I kept getting physically weaker & finally figured out it was the Flecanide causing this. I quit taking it & felt better immediatly. I am not recuperating. light excercise exhausts me. So I'm not getting stronger. Don"t know what to do.

Hello, Ron! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problems you're having.

Is your doctor aware that you stopped taking the Flecainide?

The FDA lists it as being used to treat or prevent irregular heart beat. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, blurred vision, constipation and weakness.

However, there's a chance that your symptoms could be associated with your heart. When is the last time your heart was checked?

Are you on any other medications?
