What are the side effects of phentermine?
This is exactly the same with my husband. He now hides the pills so I won't know he's taking the again but I can always tell because he is a completely different person, mean and crazy. I want to sue our doctor for continuing to give them to him. I've told the doctor how they make him act. I guess our marriage isn't a concern for him, only that my husband loses a few pounds and keeps coming back.
Taking it before 8am will help with the sleep issues.
I am not able to take Phenterimne, I had a reaction called Serotonin Syndrome. I reacted with my Cymbalta. I had lost about 10 pounds in 6 weeks. Does anyone know of anything I can take that won't react with my antidepressants? I have gained all of the weight back and am frustrated.
This is my second time on phentermine and lost 86# in 6 months the first time. This time I have side effects. 3 weeks of taking it and I have the dry sore tongue and it's making it hard to concentrate on much else. Today I started getting tiny blisters all over my body. And noticed a painful, tiny, white bump on the inside of my lower lip. Pretty sure there are a couple bumps developing on the outside of my lip as well. I am also 5'9" and 220# so I really worry that side effects will cause me to discontinue the pill and I will not make it to a healthy, comfortable weight.
Yes I do have irritation on the sides of my tongue. They are white sores. They aren't blisters or anything bit they are very uncomfortable. I have no idea what they are but I know I only get them when I take the diet pills. Also the pill seems very acidic, like a burning senation that lasts only the second or two between when I place it In my mouth until I get a drink of water to swallow it.
are you rubbing your tongue against the back of your teeth subconsciously? I am having terrible side effects. I just started yesterday for ADHD and fatigue, at 10, i've been cleaning house and fluttering around since then and it is 4"17pm here so over 28 hours. I am told this all goes away after about 3 weeks. My doctor has me on zanax and celexa too. I think he may have told me to start those first, then the phentermine/
yes! i actually just got them not even 3 hours ago and i have very bad sore throat and mucus. i feel horrible! it may just be the weather but ive got bumps and humps on my tongue that hurt slightly.
It's "Phentermine" not "Phenteramine". It's pretty disconcerting that a doctor of 20 years doesn't know the medical terminology. I hope you're just some health nut hating on everyone here for taking PHENTERMINE because if you're a licensed physician you need a refresher course in pharmacology. I feel sorry for your patients.
I lost 50lbs on Adderall 20mg twice a day none of those side affects and it is not synthetic like phen , no dry mouth , no tongue issues , can be slightly moody at times but nothing I can't control once I was aware of it , stop the phen , it is synthetic garbage . You will have to convince your doctor you are adult attention deficit disorder . Not hard to do Wikipedia sites all you need right from DSM-4
Is it normal to have a red hot tender face and ears while taking Phentermine?
you may have a thyroid problem you should consult your doctor about being checked for a thyroid problem or a vitamin deficiency
its common to have food cravings once you are off that's why it is very important to establish a good diet and exercise program while your cravings are controlled
a common side effect is dry mouth which cam cause blisters or other problems due to the lack of moisture and growing bacteria in the mouth be sure to drink tons of water and that should help aid the blisters also dry gargling salt water one or twice a week to help killing the bacteria and brush your teeth often.
I am having the exact same problems as you are....still waiting for answers
I went to a weight loss clinic to go on the pills in order to break my sugar binge and lose some weight. It's a scam office, but I was desperate, so I paid for a month of pills. They don't tell you the side effects or take much of a medical history. I immediately lost my appetite and lost nine pounds in two weeks. I cut my eating way back and am eating only healthy foods (no sugar!).
When I did the research for side effects, I stopped at the allergic reaction as I rarely, if ever, have allergies, so I didn't read it. Then I started having troubles drinking water (food is okay). It gets caught in my throat and it's sometimes an effort to swallow. My tongue seems to be also swollen. That's when I went back and read the allergic reaction part. Therefore, I'm going to take a half pill for a couple days to come off of it (they say not to quit cold turkey) and then stop. I'll keep the rest just in case my appetite gets out of control again, but I think I have my eating habits set. (You have to lose the weight mentally and eat healthy or else you'll just gain the weight back.)
If you take these, listen to your body. Don't let desperation take the place of risking serious health issues.
I looked up the symptoms and your message popped up. I have been on it for a month now and this past week I have developed a bluster on my my tongue. Very uncomfortable. Not sure why. And why weeks later. I have lost 25 pounds though.
The tongue, throat, & mouth pains are caused by involuntary sucking and movement in the mouth. I have taken phentermine several times and this ALWAYS happens. I actually only needed to lose 12-15 lbs for my wedding, and I never lost a single pound! I took 37mlgs a day!!
Yes, I had both of those symptoms. Sleep is very important to me. I had to stop taking it. It also made my tongue sore, maybe due to the thirst. I went off it to make sure the symptoms were due to the medicine. I started taking it again and the symptoms returned. I really want to lose weight but I can't tolerate this medicine.
I have been taking Phentermine for 4 days now. My energy has increased but I can't sleep!
I also take 5 mg Bystolic for high blood pressure which also effects my sleep to some level. Very little appetite so far but very thirsty. I have been drinking 3 yes 3 liters of water a day. I also excercise at least 1 hour a day.
I am only taking 15mg phen and was wondering if anyone else lost sleep?
I definitely agree that you must drink plenty of water while taking this drug. I've only been taking it for 2 days and today I only ate one can of tuna. The roof of my mouth hurt and burned so badly I had to force it down. I did not drink my water today like I did yesterday so it must have dehydrated me. My magnesium is always low and I've heard that can also be a contributing factor. Lesson learned, drink your water!
