Phentermine 37.5 Mg & Spirulina Powder

My doctor just prescribed Phentermine 37.5 mg for me a few weeks and I asked her if it would be safe to take phentermine while taking a natural supplement called spirulina. My doctor had no clue what spirulina was/is and advised me that she needed to do research on it. I use Earthrise brand Spirulina powder in my morning smoothies, and I've stopped taking it to allow my doctor to do her research, but I've not gotten an answer from her yet. Does anyone on the forum know if it would be OK for me to start back taking my spirulina powder whilst taking phentermine 37.5 mg Rx? Thanks in advance.

Since Spirulina is a supplement product, finding such information can be hard.

However, what I've found so far, doesn't list any problems or interactions, but you may want to wait to hear back from your doctor to be sure.

The FDA classifies Phentermine as a stimulant used to aid in weight loss and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and anorexia.
