Hi Jacqueline,
Thanks for sharing this info on phenytoin. Would you say that it is pretty effective for depression in comparison to other forms of treatment?
Phenytoin is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants; and It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Information I've read on phenytoin, states that it is a commonly used antiepileptic that is sometimes used in the treatment of depression. -Although I have yet to read patient reviews on how successful it has been in treating depression.
If you're able to shed any light on this based on personal experience, that would be a great benefit to those who are considering its use!
