The white oval pain pill with A332 worked for my severe pain and I had never increased the dose. The last refill I received a pink round pill with 229 and a G on the front and it doesn't help me. Why?

As permitted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredient. However, they do not have to measure against each other, just the name brand, so the prior one you were taking may have been slightly higher, so this one may be lower and not as effective for you.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Since the differences are slight, many people adjust in about a week, or so. Has there been any change for you?
