Pharmacy Refilled My Prescription With Different Pills (Top voted first)

I am taking oxycodone/acetaminophen 7.5–325 mg. The pills are usually pink and round in color. Today I went to pick up a new prescription and they are white and oblong in color. Is it just because it's a different manufacturer? The new pills look like hydrocodone/acetaminophen.

I've been taking Hydrocodone due to a degenerative spine and a total reverse shoulder. The pharmacy I've been getting my meds from have been steadily gone up in cost. They changed the order from what my doctor ordered. I can not take generic versions, especially aurora, which causes more pain than it takes away. How can a pharmacy change orders?

Yes, it is possible, that it might be a different manufacturer. Can you please post back with the markings on it? That would enable me to double check the information for you.

What did they change about the order? I mean did they change the dosage, or actual prescription? Unless your doctor wrote it specifically as brand medically necessary, or whatever the equivalent is in your state, they can provide you with a generic.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.
