Pharmacies That Carry Buprenorphine Made By Mylan Or Roxanne 54 411 (Page 18)

Updated

I've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411?

Someone please make sense of this for me! So everywhere has been out of Roxanne 54 111’s & last month my pharmacy tried to give me nasty Hi-tech. Anyway I found a speciality pharmacy that had them so was able to get half of that same script filled with the Roxanne’s. Well, today my dr gave me a week supply early because of the mess up last month. I went to the same specialty pharmacy & they filled the 54 111’s. I put it in my mouth & immediately it tasted way different. So I looked @ the bottle & it says Hikma on it. How is that possible? Why do my pills look like Roxanne’s but taste way worse & say Hikma on bottle?

If a Dr took you off 2 mg yellow Xanax purchased at Walgreens from brand white in the sealed bottle, is that why the Xanax yellow required you to take more?

Because they have not made roxane in many, many years they went from roxane to westward to hikma, they all are white round, they all say 54 411 however they have been changing the formula slowly from one hand to the next. I can't remember when they acculy stopped making Roxanne but like I said a long time ago, so if you're not paying attention to your bottle and just always open it up and take them because of everything else still looking the same, someone would think they are the same..now by me if you go to any pharmacy and ask for Roxanne brand they would look at you like are you crazy? They haven't been around period

B/S I just bought sub ROX on 5/19/2019. It is true that you cannot find them anymore though. I had been told they were on back order since Feb, this year. The one Walmart didn't have them and the one down the street had them. You have to call around and ask when you are getting close to subscription time. Walmart doesn't honor any coupons anymore though. When I was in Va in 2017-8, they had SUB ROX but they were like $10 a piece. They are changing the way they are purchasing them or something. And the pharmacists seem to not know what type they will have from month to month. You have to shop around with your Rx when you get it and ask who has them, and ask specifically for the brand Roxane. They do know what you are talking about. If they try to give you the small Teva brand ones, do not get them even if there isn't anymore of the others; wasting your money.

I'm with you. It's messed up what they are doing. They don't care how they are affecting us all because they save a buck.

Well if you were able to get Roxanne, they must have been on way back in the shelf of the pharmacy's somewhere. Because Roxanne sold out to westward and now westward sold out to hikma, so the pills still say the same markings ., same color and shine..it would be hard to believe that a pharmacy would still have a bottle laying around because usually they do their stock and make sure they are still good to use date wise..but Roxanne are gone..and now the bottles will say hikma only.

Also, if you see BTOD REMS you can find out anything one would want to know about buprenorphine with or without naloxone.. For just buprenorphine has six generics listed up to date..this site helps people like us, doctors, nurses and the pharmacy's we use...the six generics listed to have are,....actavis Elizabeth, hi-tech, hikma, mylan, Rhodes, and Sun.. That's it, other than the suboxone products.. This site also lets us know how much buprenorphine is in each pill alongside the fillers they use..and you will also notice some products even have more buprenorphine than the next..I forget the amount but they say it's more but equivalent to each...so I also get hikma since the Rhodes are on backorder. I go to CVS I get the original sealed bottle I guess its easier for the pharmacy to do because I get 90 a month..idk...but Roxanne has been long gone for a good while now.

Same here in the UK. They seem to have switched to a cheaper manufacturer. I can't say that I've noticed any difference in the pain relief though.

I have no idea how/why you're bottle would say Roxanne, unless it's been on the shelf for years now...many years...you can't even order them if one wants to..long ago... Roxanne sold to westward and then westward sold to hikma, and that's the one you would have. They were/are all big white round pills, they all still say 54 411s,..the only difference is how each one changes the inactive ingredients. I get it ... we all would love to have Roxanne back. But that pill is long gone....I still say if you truly have a bottle it has to be very old..

I hear what your saying but my main pharmacy puts the order out & sometimes they get crap & other times they get Roxanne. In April they ran out of Roxanne & it was on backorder, however, they received 1 random supply last month. Roxanne is the listed pharmaceutical company on the prescription bottle & not one of the bottles is old. Because of their backorder I have been going elsewhere & getting the Hikma ones so I know all about them.

Just picked up my 120 of 8mg buprenorphine at CVS . Went up $100 from last month! With drug Rx coupon I have always used. Folks make sure you call ahead if you pay out of pocket and use the discount coupons.

Re: Allison (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

I realize this is an old thread but I couldn't help respond to your kind and heartfelt words. Unless you have experienced the shame and embarrassment of being abused by a pharmacist or anyone in the healthcare community that should totally know better, then it is hard to explain that feeling of not wanting to go outside for fear of strangers or friends may make callous cold remarks. Hang in there everyone. If your on this site reading this thread you are clearly on your way to an even better life than ever....you are in sobriety if you choose to use this zero euphoria medication for long or short term to help you save your life.......all other negative treatment or verbal abuse from the uninformed can easily be ignored or rebutted if you see fit.......happy Thanksgiving.
