Petition To Bring Back The Original Nostrilla Formula
UpdatedInsight Pharmaceuticals has recently changed the Nostrilla formula they have been using for years. They have added a preservative to it. The problem is, it makes many people's noses swell and burn for about 20-30 minutes and doesn't work as well. This Petition is to see is we can make our voices heard and help bring back a product many of us have used and loved for years. a petition link is below.

Based on my research, The new Nostrilla formula contains Hydrochloric acid and Chlorhexidine, a topical antiseptic that has been proven to cause irritation.
According to the FDA, in 2011 Insight Pharmaceuticals issued a recall of "Nostrilla Nasal Decongestant" due to bacterial contamination. Hopefully another recall will be issued due to the problems with the new formula.
Has anyone else suffered side effects upon using the new Nostrilla formula? For those who have, I recommend filing a complaint at insightpharma.com.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Nostrilla Details
I hope this helps!
I have been using Nostrilla for years. I recently bought a new bottle and, on first use, experienced severe nostril burning, sneezing and runny nose for the rest of the day. At that point, I threw the bottle away and vowed to never use it again. Between this incident and the 2011 recall, I've lost faith in the brand.
This may be hard to come by now but if you can find a Nostrilla bottle with a lot number starting with 12 instead of 13, buy it. The old formula starts with 12 and the new, bad formula starts with 13. They are out there but you have to look for them. I would look at a small, family type pharmacy that doesn't turn over their stock as often as the big boys. Good luck i have found seven so far and bought every one of them.
Has anyone used Nostrilla every day for extended periods of time? I have for four-five weeks, only once a day, and get severe nasal congestion when it wears off, 10-15 hours after using it. I went to the doctor and he thinks I may just have severe allergies or may have used Nostrilla for too long, which he said can make you develop congestion symptoms if used for more than the indicated time. I have tried to stop using it and substituting it with saline sprays and a neti pot but they don't work. I have also tried putting eucalyptus and peppermint oil in my humidifier and have been drinking a lot of ginger tea and using more cayenne than I normally do as I've read they are good for congestion and inflammation but nothing has worked except Nostrilla. Has anyone else developed a sort of dependency to Nostrilla? How did you taper off of it without getting congested?
