Perscription Filled Too Early, Will I Be Dismissed?
UpdatedJust started PM. I have arthritis and a bad case of fibromyalgia. I am worried. I was getting a mild pain killer from a local doctor. Went to PM and got a 30 day supply of Percocet. It was not to be filled until my other pain meds were used up. She figured the date. I went to pharmacy and got other meds refilled and left the Percocet prescription on hold -( which was not suppose to be filled for another 3 weeks). 10 days later I sent my husband to get my blood pressure medicine picked up. He came home with 2 bottles of medicine, one which was my Percocet. I asked him why he had that prescription and he said all he did was pick up what was in the bag. So my pharmacist filled it early, without our say so. I have an appointment tomorrow and was getting my medicine in the bag to take with me when it hit me that the date was going to be wrong on my Percocet bottle. I am terrified she will dismiss me. Is there anything I can do? My pharmacist is our with knee surgery but the girls who staff he pharmacy are the ones who normally fill the medicine. Do I need to go to them and get a note or something? What should I do.

You should of talked with your doctor and explained your modified rules he ordered for you. 1. You are not a professional courier so it would be unwise to carry drugs back to the office for the doctor viewing. You can always use your Cell Phone take a pic with your meds next to say the current newspaper and take the pic in to your doctor to verify you have the pills. Hoping lots of folks who use this site also try this approach. You should not be carrying your pills back and forth. This will get you into trouble and the doctors office as well. Very high risk in doing this.
Hello, Alice! How are you?
I'd just take both bottles to show them that you've not been taking extra and that it was just filled at the wrong time. They can count the tablets in them to verify that, if needed. Don't stress too much over it, since you can put the proof right in front of them.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?

Please answer this. My dr put fill date Sunday the 29th but my pharmacy is closed, can they fill it on Saturday the 28th since they are closed on the fill date for Sunday, even if it says 29th? I run out of my Percocet 7.5 Saturday night.
Re: Patsy (# 3)
That's hit or miss and totally depends on the pharmacy. Most pharmacies will fill a day early if they're closed on the day of your refill.. but when it comes to opioids they may wait until the next business day. You'll just have to try and see.
