I've been taking lomedia 24 for a few months and I always get my period on the third week of the active pills. I don't understand why I'm still getting periods while I'm taking active pills. Also, Is the entire last week (3whites and 4 brown pills) placebo pills? Because I think since I got my period now, I might as well start a new pack on Sunday and skip the last week since I've already gotten my period, right? Can I just take them pack to pack (first 21 pills then start a new pack) and never get a period? Because I would love thattttt! I just really need advice.

Hello, Tawanda! How are you?

Irregular bleeding can be a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms.

Regarding Lomedia tablets, the only inactive ones are the 4 brown tablets. Some women do use them to skip their periods at times when it would be inconvenient to have one, generally there is no harm in it, but only your doctor can advise if it is okay for you to do so.

Frankly, unless it is a woman that wants to become pregnant, I don't think any of us enjoy having periods, and the older we get, the more adventures we begin to have with our hormonal changes.

Are you on any other medications?
