Percosett Maximum Amoumt In System And Still Pass Pre Employment Drug Screen?

I am taking a pre employment drug screen tomorrow. I am in pain management and my doc prescribes ten 10 mg of oxycodone along with ambian and flexeril. Is there a maximum that I can be taking before they would deny me this job?

State that you are taking all that with a prescription by a doctor, the drug screen will not read how much you have in your system Necessarily, It will just read whether you are dirty in each area or not.. such as , opiate will turn red. or whatever color the test reads an so on. hope that helps

Thanks for the response; however, after I read it, I realized that I had mispoken. I take 10 ten milligram oxycontin tablets (total 100 mg.) along with the flexeril and ambien. My concern is that they would assume that I cannot or should not be driving a motor vehicle. I feel like I'm a decent driver and that the dosage has increased over the years and I'm pretty immune to the side effects. So, if they don't look for quantity, I'm fine. I've xeroxed copies of the labels from Walgreens so they really wouldn't even need to investigate the level of consumption because it's right there in writing.

It is a job driving? If that is the case, it may not matter that you have a prescription. In such cases, there are different regulations that apply and certain medications are not allowed to be taken, under any circumstances.

The concern in such instances is that you may endanger others on the road by being impaired, even if you don't feel that you're impaired in any way.

Have they given you any specific criteria?

OK I got it. I was just kind of freaking out because on the form it has marked "Profile 1 8 Panel (Pre Employment)" and then next line "Profile 2 + BLD ALC (Reasonable Suspicion - Contact E.R. Dept)"

The testing facility is Labcorp and on their website I looked up the test and for Opiates it says "Level 1 to 100" Well if I take my percoset as prescribed I consume 100 mg per day so I will be at the upper limit and thought my disqualify me.

Well it's a sales job but I'm driving my own vehicle. But when I was reading the application, it had a lot of general statements that would apply to persons driving company trucks and such. You make a great point.

I know in Minnesota you cannot test positive for certain amounts of opiates while you are driving ( CDL ). My husband takes hydrocodone and it shows up in his system every time he is tested and one of the doctors flipped out and wouldn't sign his papers or give his health card. We went to our doctor, proved he doesn't take it within a certain timeframe before driving and all is fine. Even with a CDL he is allowed to have a narcotic in his system as long as he doesn't take it before driving. He doesn't take it within 4-6 hours of driving even though it has never caused the typical euphoria. He just will not do it.....he takes driving seriously! The new drug screens.....actually not too new.....do test how much is in your system. These are the ones the dr's/clinics use to check med compliance, etc.
