Percoset Before Surgery
UpdatedHello, I am having a lumbar puncture to measure CSF pressure in a week. I have been prescribed low-dose percoset (1/2 of 7.5/325 per day) to help with the pain and pressure until the lumbar puncture. I was told not to take any blood-thinning medications until the procedure. Can I still take the percoset? Or will it thin the blood as well?

From what I could gather Percocet has two components; Oxycodone + Acetaminophen, and neither are blood thinners. So you should be fine taking it prior to your surgery.
