I take Percocet 3x a day for Chronic pain from my neck down. The Percocet does not last the 8 hours like the bottle say. Just wondering if i could take a 1 pill of Equate with Acetaminophen 500mg with one Percocet. or one Tylenol with Acetaminophen 325mg with 1 Percocet. Would this be safe !!!! The Percocet that i take 3x a day only last 2 hours if that. I also take 3x a day Gabapentin 600 mg but makes me really tried all day so i stop taking them. ## What specifically are you taking? I am trying to find a pain management doctor that takes Medicaid. I have been on fentanyl and Oxycodone. I have been since 2013. My husband died and money is tight so now I can only go to a Medicaid Doctor. I am getting desperate every day feels like a nightmare since he died now this. ## Mags, what state are you in? Percocet contains Oxycodone coupled with Acetaminophen and the maximum dosage of it that is available is 10mgs of Oxycodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm a chronic pain patient due to Fibromyalgi/Chronic Fatigue and Degenerative back & hip disease, for 21 years I've tried all kinds of meds and only narcotics have ever helped.. I'm on Percocet 15 mg, 1 every 4-6 hours, for 6-7 yrs now. . (Long acting meds behave as short acting in my body, so can't take anything long acting...which prevents me from being able to use a breakthrough med). My doctor gave me Percocet 7.5-325..Half a tablet twice a day, doesn't seem to be working well with my breakthrough pain. I'm also on 30mg of morphine 2x daily. Over the past several months (up to 12), I've had an increasingly severe pain build in my left shoulder and back. It started in the shoulder, high up almost into my neck (opposite my collar bone). Since then, it has spread to nearby areas all around my shoulder blade, including just behind my armpit. The pain also radiates down my entire left arm. The areas are painful when I move, and also painful to the touch; the skin is sensitive, almost like a post-surgical site (I've had multiple surgeries- more on that later). I have taken many generic Percocet 10-325 made by different companies. Different size/shape/color. But these 4829 v seem to be stronger for some reason. Been taking pain meds for 30 years. So I know side effects are different sometimes. I have been light headed/anxious/hot/cold when I take 2. Don't have to often. But I usually stick with the every 4 hours regimen. Is there a 10/325mg Percocet that's white, round & has 230 on one side & a C on the other? ## A "yellow" round pill with a large C on one side and 230 on the other reportedly contains Acetaminophen (325mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (10mg); the generic for Percocet. Is it safe to start taking the hydrocodone 6 hours after taking Percocet 7.5/325? ## Usually, you can switch cleanly from one to the other, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. I'm to have a prostate biopsy soon which I understand is rather painful and I'm wondering if two Percocet 7.5-325 prior to the procedure would help reduce the pain? I placed 2 orders at diff times and both were supposed to be for Percocet. They both were from India. One of them came in a little bag with no packaging. The more recent one came in an actual bubble pack that had a manufacturer on it but no markings on the pills. I'm guessing I've been had.
