Is Percocet a stronger more powerful pain killer than Tramacet? If so, by how much? If you have been taking Percocet are you likely to get the same effect from Tramacet? Is there a chart somewhere that compares or ranks all pain killers comparatively? If so please tell me where. Thanks - good health to you all ## The Tramadol is not actually a narcotic, it is derived from an opiated, but it is not actually one, so it is therefore nowhere near as strong as the Percocet, which contains a strong narcotic Oxycodone. ## She asked about Tramacet not Tramadol. Tramacet is an opiate as is Percocet. As for the chart listing different opiates and their strengths, I wo...

I have major back issues, mi have no insurance, so I can't afford the MRI I need. My DR has prescribed me percocets 10/325 every 4-6 hours along with flexeril 10mgs 1 or 2/day, my DR has recently prescribed 300mgs a day of neurontin and 500mgs of naproxen 2x's/day. None of it helps. Does anybody have any suggestions I could take to my DR of what could help. I'm in constant pain, can hardly sleep and the muscle spasms occurring more often elevating my pain level. Any suggestions would be of great help, thanks everybody! ***Also I have always had a high tolerance for any medications, which my dr does know about. I just need some advice and help and this site seems to have good people that have actual good advice. ## The Flexeril is really a very mild muscle relaxant, so you mi...
I am uninsured and have a referral to a pain management clinic, but cannot afford the clinic. I would like to know of any cheap doctors who would prescribe the narcotic pain medication I need to be on in the Kansas City MO area. ## Hi, Kat! How are you? I'm sorry, but under the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require narcotic pain medications on a long-term basis to treat chronic pain, you're going to have to see a pain management specialist. PCPs are no severely restricted in what they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. Do you qualify for any type of assistance to help paying for the clinic? ## Hello Verwon, thank you for the reply. I am currently trying to get Medicaid but I know the clinics do not take Medicai...
What are these? White pill, no orange specs / white only, football shaped. It has WATSON imprinted on top and 3203 right under a break line and it's scored in the center on the other side. I was told it's Percocet. Is that wrong or right? I just want to know what they are. ## Hi, Larry! How are you? No, these are not Percocet or a generic for it. They contain 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so they are a generic for Vicodin, Lortab, Norco and others. NDC: 0591-2605 / 0591-3203 Size (mm): 14 Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories Inactive Ingredients: -Cellulose, microcrystalline -Croscarmellose sodium -Magnesium stearate ----------------- -Croscarmellose Sodium -Crospovidone -Magnesium Stearate -Cellulose, Microcrystalline -Povidones -Starch, Corn -Stearic Acid NOT...
I was taking 40 mg of OxyContin for a rare bone syndrome. I have chronic back, leg, and joint pain. I starter taking percocet but I find to get the pain managed I have to take up to at least 5 pills at once of the percocets to match that of the OxyContin. Is this okay and does that make since? Especially since I am taking up to 15 a day? should I just ask to be switched back to OxyContin? ## I am very sorry that you're in so much pain. Yes, you should definitely look into switching off of the Percocet. It contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and you are exceeding the daily maximum dosage of Acetaminophen, which is just 3,000mgs. Each Percocet tablet contains 325mgs of it, so you should not be taking more than 9 of them a day, at most. Taking more than that risks fatal toxicity....
I am going through therapy for my back and need spine surgery. I have been taking percocet for the past year now and my Dr wants to change my medication. He suggested something that starts with the letter N but didnt spell it right for me. Does anyone know of pain medication that starts with that letter. Not Naproxen, it's not an anti inflammitory ## It's supposed to be for nerves. ## Probaly Neurontin which is used to ease nerve pain. ## Or maybe Norco ## Those would be my best guesses, as well, since they are both used to treat pain, just in different ways. Neurontin is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with nerve pain, it contains the active ingredient Gabapentin. And Norco contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so it's a narcoti...
Hi. I went to Walmart to pick up my husband's pain medication. The pharmacist came up to me and she almost looked scared. And she said they wouldn't have any pain medications until Friday. What's up with that? And it's only Tuesday. I wonder what happened? ## They were most likely just out of stock. Every pharmacy is given a certain allotment that they are allowed to order to have in stock each month, the amount is based on how many customers they have and the size of the pharmacy. If they run out, there is nothing they can do, until it is time for them to reorder and restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Usually, it is...
It said to be detailed, so I hope I didn't end up rambling? I have 3 herniated discs 2 in my neck and 1 in the lower back. Also bulging discs-odd but, never heard exactly how many? Also degenerative arthritis in my entire spine and neuropathy in my feet. More too, but those are the main pain related. I'm almost 70. I have been taking 20mg Percocet 8am and 10-15mg at 4-4:30 pm. When I 1st went to the pain doctor and told him about having stomach ulcers, he put me on 25mcg Fentanyl patches. I felt nothing and no pain relief. He doubled it to 50mcg, same result. Before I went back to him, I researched Fentanyl-WOW! That scared the crap out of me, so when he said he wanted to got to 100mcg, I told him I didn't want to continue with Fentanyl. So, he actually got disgusted looking...
I have what i was told where perk 10's, .white oblong shape with # IP204 Nothing on reverse side ## Hello, Mertisha! How are you? Yes, this tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Oxycodone, so it is a generic for Percocet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Ok, I believe I have obtained some fake percocet. The pill I have is white, oblong shape, one side says percocet, and the other side has 10/325 From everything I have read, this should be yellow if real, not white...am I correct? Also, I noticed when I had several pills in my hand, it had quite a bit of resid...
I'm having surgery tomorrow morning (Tuesday) on my elbow to repair the Ulnar nerve as well as Carpal tunnel surgery. I took a Percocet yesterday evening (Sunday) for pain. Will this affect my surgery tomorrow? ## No, this medication is not a blood thinner. It contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and is classified as a narcotic analgesic. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I’m having a biopsy done on my left breast on Monday and they told me to stop taking any blood thinners but I wasn’t sure if the Percocet was a blood thinner or not?
A pink round pill with no letters or numbers, but on one side it is scored so u could break it in 4s. A friend said it's a form of percocet/oxycodone. On the inside it's white. ## A pink round pill with a score on one side. Can anyone tell me what it is please? I found it at one of my friends house on her floor
I have noticed some pills have indentations and others don't. Specifically, why is that? Someone told me if it didn't have an indentation, it was not meant to be cut. They said that each half may not contain equal amounts of the actual drug that does the work, i.e. one half may contain 72 mg and the other half only 28 mg. Is this true? ## Generally, if a pill is not scored (indented) it is not meant to be broken or cut. That's not always the case though. Some indented pills can be cut or broken in half. As a general rule you NEVER want to cut/break something that is extended release. As far as there being a difference between how much medication is in each half of a pill... I couldn't say for sure. Usually if a pill is scored it should be the same in each half/section. H...
I had seen my Dr last week and signed a narcotic agreement for dilaudid but he had me do a urine test the day of. I had some percocet that I was hoarding and had been prescribed for when I was in extreme pain this month from a knee surgery. I have severe bilateral stenosis of my c5 & c6. That is why my family Dr was going to give me dilaudid. Anyway, the urine test came back today and now he has cut me off of any narcotic meds. The last time I had taken any percocet was about five days before my urine test. I don't feel I should be cut off just like that because they were in my system before I signed the agreement. ## I am not currently a patient yet but would pain management refuse to treat me from the first initial urine test being positive for marijuana?
I have been in pain management for 3 years-I have had 5 back surgeries-and I have had all clean drug tests excpet this time. My wife tried to kill herself, I have alot pain in my back-and I messed up really bad and did some coke (which was stupid) I needed a release-I have now been kicked out of the pain management program I am in-I have no idea what to do now-I have been on percocet 30 mgs for 3 years and need my med's-what can I do like I said this was the first and last time with dirty urine ## Will percocet and oxy ir show up the same in a good urine test? ## Do pain management clinics check urine samples in house or do they send them out. ## yes they do them on the spot in the sample jar they rmove the tear away on the side and are able to see what is in urine ## When you are i...
When I filled my RX at the first of Jan, the pharmacist warned me it was a different manufacturer so it would look different. I immediately saw a difference. It was not combating my pain, and I was having severe headaches. I was suspicious of the pharmacist, at first, because this medication has been in short supply (at least in this area), and was forced to go to a Walgreens across town, where I was treated like a criminal, despite the fact my regular Walgreens had called. I looked it up in my pill book, however, and was comforted to discover it was the correct pill. All month I have been suffering with the pain, headaches, and nerve pain, as well as nausea, gastrointestinal issues, and a feeling of restlessness. It is time for a new monthly supply, so I called CVS Pharmacy and they do...
I just moved to Beaumont TX. Looking for a cash doctor for percocet / norco. I'm in real bad shape and don't know anyone to refer me to a cool doctor. ## I live in East Tx. and i just need to find a doctor with in a 100 or 150 miles of where i live if any one can help me? Thank you very much? ## I'm in East Texas as well. I had saw a pain management Dr in Tyler for awhile. I was ok, however insurance changed so I transferred care to a Dr in Dallas. I've actually saw 2 & am now going to the 2nd as he listens better, is thorough & very innovative. I saw Dr Z at Texas Pain Physicians... He has a somewhat dull personality, doesn't communicate well but does FANTASTIC inj's... He kept me on the same meds as my last dr (fentanyl patch & percocets, zanaflex)....
I just took a Percocet 10. I need it to show up in my urine asap. How long does it take?. ## i need percocet to show up in a urine test in two days i only have two 5mg percocet so i have taken one already and will take the other 5mg percocet a few hours before the test will it show in my urine percocet is in it ## I took 2 ,10 mg prescribed oxycodone 3hours before urine test will it show up ## I have an appointment at my pain management doctor tomorrow, I only had one pill left and I took it this morning. I've been on percocet 7.5mg for 6 months. Will it please show up? ## It takes 6 hours to metabolize ## I go to pain management once a month for my back pain. I am prescribed hydrocodone and I ran out today. I got to pain management tomorrow morning at 8:30am. My friend gave me a 5m...
I receive a monthly script for Percocet 7.5 but due to the stresses on me (job, parenting, elderly parents) I finished the 30 day supply early. A friend gave me about a dozen round, white pills marked "WATSON 749". I had to use all of them to get through this month. My doctor's office likes to run comprehensive urine tests, I think it's a 13 or 14 (or more?) panel test to make sure patients are taking only their own meds. NOW I am paranoid that the urine test I will be obliged to take tomorrow 6/17 may reveal that I took these "Watson 749" pills along with my regular Percocet......Does anyone know if these two pills will show up as identical or different substances on a 14 panel urine screening???? BTW, I live with chronic pain, am not a "recreational User...
How to tell if the Percocet 10/325 with m523 on one side are bad, is there any way to tell? ## Idk, but M522 are good oxycodone 7.5mg; white, oblong; get at Walmart. If you get withdrawal symptoms when stopping them, they're a genuine brand. ## Yea they're a good brand. They do have bad / fake ones going around but you can tell by the 1 on the 10. The counterfeits print is I0 instead of 10, check your 1. ## The fake m325 have just made it to rural area in Washington parish,la and sw ms. They are rough sloppy edges and the one is straight not 1 for authentic from Walmart. The M, 2 and 5 is wrong as well. My neighbor asked me to look them up and so happy he didn't take them. Would report this but don't know who to trust so he doesn't get in trouble. Please check your m...
