Percocet: Apap Vs Oxycodone (Top voted first)

I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that?

The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? Because I NEVER heard of a Percocet 15; only 10, 20 and Percocet 30. Never the less, oxycodone is the narcotic in both pills, and oxycodone is oxycodone. IT'S THE SAME THING BABY!

The Acetaminophen does enhance the action of the narcotic in some people that take it, so you might be one of those people who get better pain relief if it accompanies the opiate.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

However, there is no Acetaminophen/Oxycodone (Percocet) available in the U.S. that contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, the maximum available only contains 10mgs of Oxycodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Are you sure of what dosage you were taking, before?
