Does anyone has any idea from where can i get Nembutal or Pentobarbital in India?

Yeah thiopental has to be the first choice ...i agree.

I have Pentothal & am 100 % sure that it is genuine as I got it directly from an anaesthetist. I have had it since 2011. The expiry date was Feb 2013. But, my understanding was that even in the US, they use a cocktail, Pentothal being 1 ingredient. The Pentothal is useless as a stand alone. Have read PPH. Chapter 15 relates to Nembutal. Thiopental is not mentioned anywhere. Will appreciate further feedback on thiopental.

Mahesh check out the last page of chapter 15 ,there is a single page just for sodium thiopental. Recent ohio executions did not use the standard 3 drug cocktail but only Thiopental at 6 grams. Death occurred in 10 mins from IV infusion . This can also be taken orally and i have confirmed it with Dr. ted . The maximum required for any body weight is 10 grams as mentioned in pph. The only reason why people go for pento is because of the unavailability of thiopental. Thiopental has to be the drug of choice for humans.

Oh My God! Cindy, you are right. I dont know how I missed that. Do me a favor, please. Ask Dr. Ted, that what I have is sealed & well stored. The expiry date printed on it was Feb 2013. Can it be used even now?

Mahesh , now if i was you; i would have got it tested whatever anyone says ! But as you mentioned earlier you even have pento ,right? and now that you could procure thiopental once means that you can even get it again .

If the ampules I have can be used, then I do not need to spend any more. My idea was that I could help at least 2 persons with nembutal as I have tested a few weeks ago. Thiopental I can access hopefully again, if need be. Another thought occurs to me. We know about Nembutal, its bitter taste & the need of an emetic. What about Pentothal?

I have already warned on this forum that they are cheats. How much did you loose? Ask them to return your money, else give as much details that U can & I will ensure that they are held responsible. And Unique... do not push your luck...

No. I saw a lot of short articles with em's of authors of the pieces, none of which were relevant. ONe looked as though it may be, but wasn't. I read it several times. I read the edition you pointed to - HT Mumbai ed, Dec 1st (Sunday) and I looked at both Page 2s in case I was at the wrong one but see nothing there that would help me. If you want to be more specific I will go and look again, but I gave up. Thanks for asking though.

Can anybody enlighten me, whether N taken intramuscular would have the same effect. Intravenous would not be possible for a lay person & given its bitter taste & the likely chances of vomiting it out, intramuscular seems to be an option.
