I have a bad toothache it makes my gums hurt an my jaw also I been to the Dr an they gave clindamycin 150mg to take 3 times ever 8 hrs I been taking it an it did ease off but came right back hurting while I'm still taking it I got no ideal why it would do that I'm in pain but don't have a dentist appointment till next week I thought this antibiotic would help but I don't know does any one know why it would not help.. thank u

I am prescribed 2 Penicillin tablets twice daily and I know that this means 'every 12 hours'. My question is, can I take 1 tablet now that it has been 6 hrs and the other one when it is 12 hrs.? Will it hurt me and will it have the same effect against the infection?

Yes I have a right back tooth where it had been filled 3 times. The fillings came out. A few years ago I had a knee replacement so before my tooth can be extracted it's mandatory that a high dose of antibiotic is taken 5-7 days before pulling. I just started today the same you are taking 500 mg 4 times a day. A lot of however must be necessary. I took my last one tonight and feel somewhat flushed.

I have been on penicillin 500mgs since Friday evening. For jaw,ear and tooth infection they say. I was up all night in excruciating pain last night. And of course I am on the ibuprofen,Tylenol pain regiment. Which I hate. But anyway it seems like its taking a long time to feel relief.

Yes it is good for an infection ... I was put on amoxicillin and it did nothing the infection actually got worse and i was just started on the P-vk at 12 today and i feel better already i had a very bad abscess n had to get the tooth pulled due to the abscess .... But anyway yes that should be good for you :) good luck

On October 14th I was out doing lawn work and mowing. Later on I realized something had bitten me on my forehead and I had 3 bites on my forearm. Today is thursday the 19th. My forehead swelled up and the whole right side of my head is really tender. For the first 3 days I put a baking soda paste on it. I started taking benadryl today and also my daughter had some penicillin vk 500 mg. So would it be safe to take this penicillin and make it go away?

Im in a lot of tooth pain. I believe I have an infection. I have no income, and have trouble getting dental work. I need tooth extractions, and dentures!!! Id appreciate it greatly if some one would assist me with this. My mouth is in terrible shape!!!
