Penicillin V For Gum Infection

Can I take 250 mg of Penicillin V every 6 hours for 20 days for a gum infection?

Have you consulted your doctor, or dentist?

The usual dose for this type of infection is 500mgs every 6 hours, for about 10 days. The lower dose may not be an effective amount, if the infection is very severe.
