Hi Ron,

Based on my research, Penicillin V is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. If your sinus infection is caused by bacteria, then yes, it could work. However, I have read that sinus infections are usually caused by a virus, and in that case the medication would most likely have no effect. I would seek the advice of your doctor if you try the Penicillin V and nothing happens.

If I can recommend anything else, it would be to make sure you avoid mucus-forming foods such as: flour products, eggs, chocolate, fried and processed foods, sugar and dairy products. Those foods would very likely aggravate the sinus infection. Also, drink a lot of water with fresh squeezed lemon. The alkalinity of the water along with the Vit C from the lemon juice could help to give your immune system a boost and fight off the infection faster.
