I have several bad cavities in my mouth and sometime little cysts appears.. The dentist prescrible PVK 500 for the infection. Should I take the pill or seek another professional advice.

Well, if they are caused by the cavities, those are not actually cysts, they are abscessed infections from the roots of the teeth.
So, yes, the dentist did the right thing by prescribing Penicillin, because it is an antibiotic that is used to treat many types of infections.

Even if you see another dentist, they are going to tell you that you need an antibiotic, because many will not touch those teeth to fix them, until the infections are cleared up. In addition, as long as you don't get them fixed, it is likely that the infections will recur.
