Paying For Pradaxa

Is there any assistance out there which will make Pradaxa affordable? I was able to get the savings card and use it at Walgreens for the 1st month but they say I am allowed to go one time outside my network with Kaiser. Kaiser has it for 211$ and other places have quoted upwards of 425$ for a month supply. That is pretty impossible to keep up with and still pay for the other 4 medications I am on. I wonder if anyone has ideas on how to pay for such an expensive medicine?

Hello Ron,

Fortunately there are many PAP (prescription assistance programs). It does take some research to find them but I would really need to know your current situation to know if you qualify or not. It would just be too much information to sift through listing every possible PAP but there is one that I found on the needymeds website, which is designed to help people pay for medications they would otherwise not be able to afford. Here is the link to the Pradaxa assistance page.

I am not sure exactly how helpful this program will be to you and if it does not help your situation please let me know. I'm sure that we can work together to find a program that would better fit your situation, but for now let's start with this one.

I hope this helps.
