Pause Mf Treatment Duration

My mother is taking pause-mf for heavy bleeding. Her doc suggested that she take it twice a day when her menses starts and continue it for 5 days... but is it really necessary to take it for 5 days? I mean if the bleeding stops in 2 or 3 days, shouldn't she stop taking it?

Pause-MF contains Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid and it is most commonly used to help control bleeding.

And she should take it for the amount of time suggested by her doctor, so it reaches its full efficacy in the body. But you might want to double check with her doctor to be certain.
