Partial Thyroid Removal

Hi all,
6 weeks ago I had my operation and was told that as only half my thyroid had been removed, I would not need medication. My level has come back at 7.87 and have been prescribed 25 mg dose of Levthyroxine to start tomorrow morning. I suppose I am really asking if anyone can tell me their experiences when they first started medication as I am due to return to work on Monday and wondering how I may be affected and what to look out for. Thank you

How did your return to work go? Have you have any problems since you started the medication?

I have never taken it, but from other posts on here, I can tell you that when first starting it, some people have experience nausea, dizziness, palpitations and irritability.

Back to work is going well: thanks for asking, although had to go to doctors again today as not sure if wound is infected again (this will be the third time.) I have had some of the symptoms you mention but managing well. Just wish I could lose some weight lol x
