Paracetamol And Mefenamic Acid (Top voted first)
Updatedive experienced fainting, diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps on the first day of my period starting again. Earlier i found my mefenamic acid tablets that was prescribed to me last year, i was wondering if i could take paracetamol as well as the mefenamic acid tablet. I have looked online to see if i could, but some websites say not to take it and some say you can, can anyone help me please?

thankyou very much! helped alot!
I've checked some of the most reliable webpages and haven't found any drug interactions listed between these two medications.
I also came across the following paragraph from emedtv.com, stating:
"If you do not take your mefenamic acid dosage as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with normal dosing. Do not take a double dose or take it with other NSAIDs. It is okay to take it with acetaminophen (Tylenol)."
According to MedlinePlus (a government webpage) acetaminophen is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers) - but not a NSAID. But it works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.
With all that said, I do agree with my research that it is considered safe to take them together. This is not to say you will or will not experience any general side effects from either medication, but I hope this info helps clear things up for you!
Hi, why dont you try CATASPA. One little tablet on the first day can take you through the entire period, and you wont find the need to take more. It is absolutely safe and prescribed to me by my mom and dad who are doctors. Hope this helps.
hi.. i have allergies on mefenamic acid.. and i've read that mefenamic acid is an NSAID. and acetaminophen is a drug that can be used if you're allergic to NSAIDs.. is it correct? i have STEVENS JOHNSON DISEASE. thanks..
Re: David (# 1)
Acetaminophen is Paracetamol. Do not exceed the stated doses on any medication.
Paracetamol can cause liver damage if too much is taken as it is a man made analgesic.
The right doses at the right intervals make it safe for the liver to process.
is it ok to take dolfenal after 2 hours of taking biogesic, thank you
