my son, aged 27 yrs has been diagnosed with gqwtric ulcerws. he has been pr3escribed ampoxillin 1000mg , claribid500 mg , protodac and pan40 (twice daily) for 14 days. after 10 days,he has been shoqing signs of improvement. should the medicines be continued for another week? will he require antibiotics also? after 14 days, he is still having pain , with less intensity.

The Claribid contains Clarithromycin, so it and the Amoxicillin are antibiotics.

As to how long he should continue, he needs to talk to his doctor about it. In some cases, very severe ulcers may require a longer treatment duration.
