Hi Seamy,
Could you be referring to Palexia, which contains the active ingredient Tapentadol?
If so, a common side effect of Tapentadol is muscle spasms. Some serious side effects can include:
Pins and needles, numb sensations.
Feeling restless, nervous, agitated or disorientated.
Depressed or euphoric mood.
Feeling abnormal, drunk, relaxed or irritable.
Problems with attention or memory.
Speech problems.
Sedation.
Unsteady walk.
Sensation of heaviness.
The length of time any medication remains in your system is going to be dependent upon several factors, including the dosage taken, the duration you've been taking it for, your age, weight, diet, whether or not you're taking anything else with it, etc.
This is all information your doctor should have on file, but if you're to ask a strangers opinion, all I can do is simply go off of the half life of the medication. Based on my research, the half life for Palexia (Tapentadol) is 4 hours. This means that every 4 hours half of your last dose should be eliminated from your system. According to the information following this link:
nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/lookup.cfm?setid= ,Tapentadol and its metabolites are excreted almost exclusively (99%) via the kidneys. To speed things up be sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Tapentadol Details
I hope this helps!
