Pain Pill Withdrawals After Taking Saboxon

I fell 25 feet and shattered my heal bone into 10 pieces had major foot surgery back in December 2016. Ortho put me OxyContin 30 for 2 weeks. The. He switched me to narco 10-325. I was taking 2 every 4 hours for almost 3 months. Then I had to see a pain doctor, which he gave me 120 a month for a little over 3 months. I was tired of taking them. So he put me on saboxon 8 mg strips. I tried taking a whole strip which made me very sick. So I cut them into 4 pices. He gave me 14 packs to start with I made them last about 3 weeks. I stopped taking them a week ago. On the 8th day with out them I started have withdrawals from them this is the third day and the withdrawals are horrible. Does any one no how long the withdrawals should last. Thanks

It is hard to say, since much of it depends on your body, your overall health, other medications you may be taking, and other factors.

It likely was not a good idea to take you from Norco to Suboxone, since Suboxone should only be used to treat severe addiction issues, the Buprenorphine in it is a very strong opiate, and can be habit forming, just like any other. In many cases, stopping it requires a gradual tapering to prevent most of the withdrawal effects.

Withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, rebound pain, chills, fever, diarrhea, and headache.

How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change?

I'd think that with just the short time you were on them, the withdrawals shouldn't last too long, but we are all different.
