Pain Meds Prescriptions

I am in search for a Dr in Modesto Ca. I have had 4 knee surgeries 1 on R knee and 3 on L.
I was just informed I will have to wait a year from November before my L knee can be replaced due to an infection. I also have no ligament in my inner knee and I have been tossed around and always end up referred back to my primary care for meds and he is not going to do because the surgeon should prescribe. Help please anything
