Pain Management For Crohn's Disease And Failed Morphine Pump In Virginia

Hello. I'm 29, a mother of two with Crohn's disease, and a former soldier. Last thing we tried is a Morphine pump at 0.4998 a day and not even that is helping the pain. I don't know why my body just not reacting and life is been especially miserable. I found a pain management doctor in the other side of Virginia and even when I explain the morphine pump is not helping they blew me off.

At this point my pcm is compassionate enough to help me out with steroids and other stuff for pain but I feel like I'm broken or something. Now I live in Richmond, VA and I would like to find a doctor that can understand my pain and just help me to have a better lifetime. I want to be able to deal with my kids, which now is pretty much impossible. I feel like I'm alone and some doctors look at me with the judgmental face. But I do not use recreational drugs and I don't even drink. I just want my pain to be more tolerable.

Hi - I’m not that surprised that you’re not getting adequate pain control for Crohn’s. - couple of questions so I can better understand what’s going on (I have Crohn’s myself). What med regimen are you taking to control the Crohn’s? Are you on a biologic? Do you see a gastroenterologist? Are you seeing VA docs? Have you had surgery?
