Pain Control While On Contrave

I have had great success with Contrave! I feel bad for those that have had side effects and can't take it. My only question, (which my doctor could not give me an answer for) is:

If in an accident, (car accident, God forbid).... what options would doctors have to control my pain if I actively taking contrave? And shoud I have some type of health notice in my billfold stating that I am taking this prescription?

It is always a good idea to keep a list of your current medications, and medical conditions with you, in case of emergency. So, that is an idea you can't go wrong with, better safe than sorry. First responders can help you more, if they know what medications you are on and what medical conditions you are diagnosed with.

Though normal doses of opiates may not work, while you are taking this medication, due to the Naltrexone in it, they can give you higher doses, or use alternative medications, such as some anesthetics, according to FDA and NIH studies.

Is this the only medication you are taking?

Thank you for the reply! I do take two other daily prescriptions. Setraline 50 mg and Estradiol 1 mg. Do these have any relevance? Still doing good on Contrave. I have met my goal of 30 lbs. but am going to try for 5 more!
