I have just recently began a pain treatment clinic. I was prescribed hydrocodone 5mg with 325 mg acetaminophen. This is not working for me. What do I need to say to convince my Dr to change to oxycodone? ## How you tell the Dr. you want to change? That you want to change back to your old meds,pain pill. ## Just be honest with your doctor, tell them that the new medication isn't working for you, but you should do so, without asking for a specific replacement medication, let them suggest a solution, and then discuss your options from there. Oxycodone has a tendency to be addictive and is highly abused, which makes many doctors reluctant to prescribe it. It is white and oblong with red specs and the inscription V 3604: This tablet contains Acetaminophen 325 mg / Hydrocodone 5 mg (NDC 0603-3890). Hi all, Just wondering if anyone here takes Fentora for noncancer related pain? Last time I took it was 2013 when my doctor was able to write off label prescriptions for it but then my insurance stopped covering it. Also, with the many fentanyl related deaths lately, it's even harder to get the medication. Thing is, I have new prescription drug insurance and Fentora is in the formulary. I'm waiting to hear back from my Dr. about getting a prescription for it but thought I'd also post here to see if others have Fentora prescribed to them? I was taking Fentora to treat breakthrough neuropathic pain. FYI, I have an intrathecal pump which has baclofen and hydromorphone. Please help. My doctor just switched me from 10/325 Norco, 7 daily, to Morphine Sulfate 100mg ER. I am depressed, sleeping & paranoid. What to do? ## Please someone help me. Morphine does not give me the feeling of well being like Hydrocodone did before they began fooling around with it. Hydrocodone now does not relief pain, It is just crap.. my spouse is suffering from the above as a result of shingles. The commonly used drugs of choice(Lyrica & other) do little to ease her constant pain in the neck & shoulder area. what about acupunchure ? HELP; i suffered severe spinal injuries nov 2004; first i was prescribed T3's for pain, then tramadol, oxycocet,then oxycontin, anf finally was placed on fentanyl; Due to problems with the patch I chose to start a drug reduction strategy; I went from 50 mg patch's every 48 hrs to every 3 days for a month, then to a 25mg patch every 3 days for a month; then stopped cold turkey, i have some 10 mg ihc oxycontin i take when the pain is unbearable but am having terrible insomnia and just feel like hell warmed over, chills, nausea, feeling yukky. so far i have been able to limit the 10 mgs to 3 a week, but when i take a 10 mg oxy, i feel alot better...what can i do to get off all meds? ## Well, the first thing you have to understand is that Fentanyl is a very potent narcotic, it is ac...

No, it contains Aspirin, exactly as it says. This tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 325mgs of it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. If not, the tablet with RP 20 is manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this mediation as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## This medication is garbage and it does nothing for your pain. It's either a placebo or a total fake . I get no relief from RP 20 and no retailer has heard of it . I'm sure there will be trouble from this . Finally weaned off the fentanyl patch this week. It's been 6 days. As I was weaning my craving/ need for Norco has increased. I'm trying next to wean off the Norco 10/325 6 a day but having a very tough time both pain wise and withdrawal wise. Clonidine has helped but not much. How long does it take for Norco to get out of your system and what helps with the WD symptoms. This all stared after 3 back surgeries and has been going on for 7 years. ## Hello, John! I'm taking oxymorphone 20mg ER. I used to take the 30's which worked wonders. Now my msil in pharmacy is not filling for this anymore. So my question is what new opioids are equivalent to my oxymorphone? Exalgo, Morphabond, Methadone, Fentanyl, Demerol, Nucynta or Fentanyl? Anyone taking any of these I'd like your opinion. will toradol show up in a urine drug test, even with gmcs testing? ## If they were to test for it, it would. Ketorolac (Toradol) is a is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and not a controlled substance so "most" urine drug screens "probably" will not test for it. i take dilaudid and tramadol and have been for a least 3 years, i take several 8mg dilaudid at a time. i reember demerol working nicely while i was in the hospital....how do i gwt me dr to give me that? ## Hi shawn, Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you if your doctor doesn't already have them. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will then take it under consideration and hear you out if you approach them in this manner, with what you believe to be most helpful to your condition. My neurologist prescribed Oxycontin 20mg 3xday. I can only get brand. I have been taking it for months and doesn't help. I am afraid of fillers put in to it. I am looking for substitute ER.
