I have had chronic back/nerve pain (unknown cause) for 20 months now. Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic both say surgery is not an option. They recommended a spinal cord stumulator but im weary of it. LYRICA has given me energy and I sleep better. I cook and clean and laundry gets done...that hasn't happened since before pain started. I feel more positive but my moods change quickly. Has anyone else had these effects? ## There are plenty of people that have had good experiences with it, it's just that they aren't the ones that usually go hunting up a website for information. :-) It's a simple fact that most people don't share their good experiences with something, they only hunt up a site like...

I am 39 years old. I have 4 herniated discs and 3 slipped discs my pain is sometimes too the point I can't move.I took 10 mg. norco witch worked then I moved to Cincinnati Ohio and the doctor I found wanted me to take Methadone and I don't like it, I just want too go back to the Norco. Please help me find a Doctor that can just give me what I need. ## Hi, Amanda! I'm sorry you're having such problems. There are probably several issues at play here that are causing them. One is that due to the increasing rates being found of improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons are being transitioned away from prescribing medications like Norco for long-term pain management. An attempt is underway to transition those to only being used for short pe...
Why does it seem that the availability of Mallinckrodt's Roxicodone is like the flip of a coin? It's like a guessing game if they decide to make it and get orders out. Are they even still making 30 mg Roxicodone? ## At any given pharmacy, the generic they carry really depends on the price set forth, when they need to restock their supply. Pharmacies generally use a vendor, then order in whatever generic the vendor lists as offering the cheapest price, at that time. Thus, the one you receive may change from prescription fill to prescription fill. They do this to help keep prices down for those that do not have prescription coverage. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipat...
What do they look like and whats the difference between them and opana 5mg? ## The only difference is that Opana is the brand name for it and Oxymorphone is the active ingredient, thus the generic name. There are several generics on the market and they will all have different markings, according to federal law, to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Some of the descriptions and markings of 5mg tablets include: E794 5, blue, round 54 596, white, round E612 5, blue round And this is not a comprehensive list, just a few examples. If you have a tablet that you are questioning and it doesn't match any of those, please post back with the markings from it and I will gladly check for you. Are there any questions or comments? ## What milligram is a moon on one side and 228 and...
Norco 10/325 quit working for me. I was given Morphine 100mg, TOO MUCH FOR ME, Now I have been taking Oxycodone 20mg IR and I am have shortness of breath and chest pain ? I can hardly breathe . I see my lung Doctor today, where do I go from here for pain medication, I am suspecting that the Oxycodone is my breathing problem and I must give it up. Help ## What did the doctor say? Oxycodone can cause suppression of the central nervous system as a side effect, which can cause breathing issues, sometimes chest pain, severe drowsiness, and somnolence. What issues did the Morphine cause? If that dose was too high, there are lower ones available that you can try. Alternatively, you might also do better with a time released formulation of Oxycodone, rather than one that releases all the medicat...
I have been on hydrocodone for five years 10 mg for what started out for back pain. The time has come for me to stop since it has become an addiction. I will be out Friday 05/11/2012 and will begin to detox myself @ home. just wanting to know how long they take to get out of your system, and things to do to help while going through the with drawl process. ## While I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I have read that it could be in your system for about a week or so (depending on a number of factors). Usually for drugs like this, I think the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of seve...
I have a Spinal Injury (Cervical and Lumbar) Va Doctor Treated. Was on Percacet 5/325 for 4 years, Dr. placed on Oxycodone 15mg for 16 months. Switched VA facilities and new doctor has Opiate concerns and switches me before even reviewing my records because of her belief of no Opiate treatments to 5mg Oxycodone(Tolerance levels made them like aspirin) stating additional Insaids and Anti-inflammatory should do the job. After 9 months and many conversations, she still says she is concerned about Opiate abuse and will not increase me because of addiction fears. How do I express that I know my body is addicted but, at least with the 15mg I would relieve some of the pain. As it is now I just have enough Opiate in me for the body to need it, but not enough to be effective as a pain relief. If...
I'm just curious. I received ol-tram in my prescription refill that is an all white circular pill with no markings. Blister pack says ol-tram Tramadol Hydrochloride 50 mg. Anyone else know if these are real tramadol ## @bambirose, From what I've researched, OL-TRAM is reported to be a foreign brand name of Tramadol. However, its legitimacy probably depends on where or how you came about obtaining them, since as you may know, many pharmacies overseas can often be unreliable. There are also several other discussion threads here on this same topic, where most individuals note having received their blister packs from Hab Pharmaceuticals in India. I don't know if this is the case with your situation, but if it is, this particular manufacturer actually lists OL-Tram on their websi...
In February of 2014 i went from oxycontin to fentanyl patch. Also was prescribed Norco/Hydrocodone 10/325's (up to 3 times a day) took urine test and it tested positive for oxycodone and no hydrocodone. I DID NOT TAKE OXYCODONE. I may lose my freedom, 13 months hard time, lose my kids, lose my job( least of my worries) my wife, and the support of many people. I have been seeing this doctor for 7 years and never tested positive for anything I wasn't taking. I am scared to death. ## I'm 99.9% positive what you're experiencing is called "false positive" or even more likely, since no hydrocodone showed up, the actual test was defective. You've been a patient with the same practice seven years? Obviously, you're not a chronic drug screen failure subject, else ...
I have crps/rsd cutaneous lupus and diabetes and was put on oxycodone aceteminophin 10/325 for pain, the other scripts i take daily are lantis. novalog pen, doxcyclaine, lisiniphrol., metformin, and voltaren gel. I tested positive for oxymorphone on urine screen 1322 ng/ml and cannot get a reply from anyone as to why this is happening, these are the only meds I take and at a loss here. ## Your body converts some of the oxycodone into oxymorphone I think I read its like 15% or something. Your good as long as the levels aren't too high. If they're higher then they're supposed to be it could be a some kind of drug interaction making your body convert more of it than its supposed to. As long as the Dr don't say anything don't worry about it. ## Im tataking oxycodone. 6 x...
Someone that me and my husband got into a fight w called dyfs on us and children. I then got my script stolen. I was without my script for 2 wks i got a new script and the next day had to take a drug test and they said i came back positive for morphine. Y? Is it possible to be a false positive cuz i didnt do anything! ## Do you know what type of test was used? Was it one of the dip tests that they do right in the office, or was it one where the sample was actually sent off to a lab? If is was one of the in office tests, then the less expensive, non-certified ones have been known show false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. ## Many testing facilities have very poor quality control standards. Several have out dated reagent chemicals, poor technician training, not to mention if...
Actually does HELP my pain, not for high. But I've ran out once before and it was AWFUL!!!! I made sure to not run out again! That's for sure. But, now I've recently found out that I'm pregnant, about 3 or 4 Months! I'm not sure what to do, bekuz it's goin to be a little while before I get to see the Ob/Gyn. And I remember when I had ran out b4 and starting to experience WD!! Knowing how I felt, I don't want to subject my unborn child to WDz, but I also know I can't continue to take them, without endangering my baby, I'm already worry I may have already....... How does this process work....... Smh. Can someone please help me. THANK YOU ## How are you doing? Congratulations on the pregnancy. Did you inform the OB Gyn about this issue, when setting up a...
I live in Florida and im one of the many people that dont abuse the narcotic pain medications i have to go through h*** to get a hold of each month. i visited my pain management dr this morning and she told me that the meds will be removed from the market and that they may introduce a new form of it 18 mos from the time its stopped being made. she said its some pill that when crushed or damaged turns into a crytal like super hard substance. i could care less what happens when theyre broken for i take mine whole and not once have i ever got a "buzz" from them. BASICALLY IS THIS INFORMATION TRUE BECAUSE IF SO I WILL HAVE TO END MY LIFE RATHER THAN PUT MYSELF IN THE PAIN I WAS IN BEFORE THESE MIRACULOUS MEDICINES CAME INTO MY LIFEE. I CANT PUT ANY MORE PRESSURE ON MY FAMILY THAN WH...
Reading some of these posts I feel I am reading about myself .. And I don't feel good about it because there are way to many of us suffering and not knowing what to do or say... 18 months ago I injured my spine and am now in a wheel chair unable to walk properly without my legs going into massive spasms and falling out from underneath me I cannot feel parts of my purple feet, my toes and feet are permanently curled inwards and I have no feeling in regions, very limited feeling in regions, or a sort of "spiderweb' pins and needles tickle feeling in different regions of my legs, thighs, hips, and groin region. This is due mainly to my S1 nerve root being completely compressed as well as everything else in that region being compressed inflamed and drowning in scar tissue. Conse...
I was sent a prescription for hydrocodone and it has the imprint CFM on it. I am not sure what that is, and there was no information about this. I try to talk to the pharmacy overseas and no one will answer me. Please tell me what this could be. ## I was sent the same medication...did you ever find out what it was? ## Sorry, I tried several resources, but since it is a foreign medication, no one has been able to come up with a positive ID. ## I RECEIVED A PRECRIPTION FROM AN INDIAN COMPAN WITH NO IDENTIFICATION ON IT. IT IS OVAL IN SHAPE AND HAS THE LETTERS - CFM - ON IT. CAN YOU PLEASE IDENTIFY THIS DRUG FOR ME. IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AN ORDER OF XANAX. ## I am very sorry, no one has, yet, been able to find an identification for this tablet. Many people have searched, to no avail. This i...
Knowing that generic pharmaceutical manufacturers can vary principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20%), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be beneficial for others in situations like or similar to mine. As a result of a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a ventral incision below navel and two dorsal incisions on either side of lumbar spine in order to install the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing their are a good...

Can i take Codorol tablets for pain while I'm pregnent? ## No, Codorol should not be taken during pregnancy. It is listed as containing Paracetamol and Codeine, the latter of which is an opiate. So, it could be dangerous for the baby, or cause them to be born addicted. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi, I am HIV+ and have unexplainable weight loss problem,I'm currently taking Aluvia,Tenofovir and Lamivudine, what can I take to manage my body mass? ## M 2 months pregnant got those codorol pills from doctor was having back pains will it affect my baby
History - My brother has been on Tramadol for the past year or so, he has tapered the dose down slowly over the past 2 weeks to reduce withdrawal symptoms. He’s been tramadol free 2 nights now with some residual insomnia. The restless leg has finally resolved thankfully. He is also struggling with chronic daily drinking and wants to start the sinclair method / low dose naltrexone. He has been on Adderall for the past 13 years for ADD. For the past month, his current dose has been low at 7.5 to 15 mg per day, and some days he doesn't even take any. He plans on discontinuing that as well. How long after being Tramadol free can he start Naltrexone? And can he start it while on Adderall? Please, any advice or experience is appreciated. THANK YOU :) ## The Tramadol needs to be full...
