I get them EVERY month! ## That is correct, though these are the generic for Opana and aren't instant release tablets, they are actually regular release. Once you swallow them, they'll take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working. Learn more Oxymorphone details here. I have been taking this medication and 100mgs of morphine plus alot of other meds for different reasons after a horrific car accident. I stopped the morphine bc I can't be a zombie I have disabled twins. It took awhile to get off the morphine. Now they wanna just stop giving Lortabs tens to me cold turkey. I have autistic twins to care for I have to be able to walk and stand up. Is there anything for pain they can give that will help? Ultram. And those drugs have bad affects on me.

I have severe back pain and I'm on 50mg of tramadol 4 times a day. Ever since I started to take these my libido has been increased drastically. Has anyone else noticed the same? ## Hello, Amber! How are you? I've not heard it mentioned, but it does make sense, in a way. All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, for instance along with being habit forming, the FDA lists those for Tramadol as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Usually, it lowers most people's libido, but conversely there are always a few people who actually experience the opposite of any side effect, they may get diarrhea, very water mouth and an accelerated libido. If it is a larger, oval, white tablet with G254 on one side, then this is an over the counter product that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. I have been on Norco 10/325mg 4x a day since 2009 due to a lower back injury and cyst on my ovaries. My doctor unfortunately lost his battle with an aggressive cancer and died. Since his death the office has been closed down with all my records inside. I have tried to get in contact with someone from the office, but with no success. I would have my test all redone if possible, but I currently do not have medical insurance. Can or does anyone know a doctor who can help me in the NJ/NYC area? Thank you.

i took percocet 5mg. then took laratab 5 mg. will it show diff. of two in ua test. thank you ## From what I could gather on this, I think it largely depends on who's drug testing you (employment; pain management clinic, or doctor's drug test): A drug test by some doctor's can be so specific that a doctor can see what meds you are taking and how much. A pain management drug test by a clinic can also differentiate between hydrocodone and oxycodone. An employment drug test "generally" only tests for classes of drugs, like opiates. The strength is 30mgs, but the specifics on their time released are not released, because that would actually be proprietary information. Thus, they only have to prove with testing that the medication is being released to the FDA, but not tell the public how much each hour, half hour or whatever. Trying to fill a written prescription from my Dr., in south Arkansas of NORCO while I'm in Lousiana on vacation & no pharmacy will fill my prescription??? Why?? ## There is a new law in Louisiana that states any Schedule II rx written by a dr that doesn't have a Louisiana License to practice medicine will only be filled for a 10 days supply. The dr will be called and informed as to why it was filled for the full amount. Although this doesn't prevent a pharmacy from filling the rx, it is all I can think if that could be the reason why they wouldn't. ## Most pharmacies will no longer fill out of state prescriptions for controlled substances, due to the fact that it is harder for them to verify the legitimacy of the prescription. I'm having some trouble. I'm currently on probation, and I broke my thumb 4 days ago. Three days ago I took a Hydrocodone for the pain (without a prescription.) I drank a lot of water to try and flush it out. But today I took a small quarter of an Oxycontin 30 mg for the pain. My question is how long is this gonna be in my system? I'm only 135 lbs, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Please if anyone can give me input it would be greatly appreciated. Can you beleive this. This happened overnight. I went to my pain med Dr. and he said the DEA has set news rules in place. I was getting 120 oxycodone plus the Fentanyl Patch. I was getting 10's. New rules state you can only give 7.5 mg and only 90 per month. He said if you prescribe 10's for 4 times a day it's now a red flag and could possibly be audited by the DEA. NY state really sucks I would rather take medical marijuana for pain, but NY state makes it so hard for you. Anyone else experience this. To clarify and avoid confusion for others that may read this post, I'd like to note that Percocet and Vicodin aren't the same thing. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, while Vicodin contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. That said, the two pills that you've listed both contain 7.5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, but they've been manufactured by different companies. Can any of you tell me if you actually are getting your oxy-30 meds.....simply cannot do the pharmacy crawl if they are still all claiming to be out....This is a nightmare.....I feel so badly for every single human being here who has been denied the right to live pain free...I have been out since June 11, 2012 and I can barely walk to the bathroom. I found a white with red speckels l484 imprint in my sons room. what is this. I know that I have found solid white ones on the internet but none with red speckels. I've been in PM for 8yrs and in that time I've only ever been to 3 clinics and never have I've been dismissed for anything other than insurance issues. Never broken any rules anywhere. I've been on fentanyl patches 150 all 8 years. My current clinic that I've been with for more than a year, all the sudden said I would be going way down on the patches. Their reason is health department guidelines and my MEDD score was too high. Told me the acceptable range for patients will not exceed 180. Their only reason was this MEDD score. After a year of giving me 150 all the sudden this. Is this just middle TN or are most pm doctors doing this? And if you have a Dr who isn't doing this, please let me know. II have been taking 10/325 - 3 per day for three (3) years. Never abuse it, but seems after the last dose at 2:30pm I go downhill towards night. Feel like the flu sometimes. Mornings feel like a out of shape 98 year old and I'm in my 50's. On worst days about 7 or 8pm I'll drink three (3) 16 ounce beers to help me sleep and it brings me back to life or 50%. I never drink more than 3. Is this my body asking for more? I do not want more due to one day planning on asking the doctor to get off and deal with the pain from an injury. Arm and spine injury. I need to switch to one of these meds, Opana isn't covered on my insurance, the MS is, are they the same or is one better than the other? ## No, they do not contain the same medication, MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine and Opana contains Oxymorphone. The Opana is a much stronger medication, for instance, just 6.67mgs of it is equal to a 40mg dosage of the Ms Contin, so you have to take much less of it. However, since there is no generic, it is also much more expensive and since you can get a dosage in the Morphine that may help, you may find it makes more sense to go with the one that your insurance will cover, even though the dosage will have to be higher.
