That was a few years ago but recently I was in a motorbike accident and have hurt my back quite badly. I was wondering what painkillers I can use that dont contain morphine? I suffer from anxiety as well. I was doing research and found out about oxycontin and endone, do either of those contain morphine and will I be allergic to them too? ## Hello, Koner! How are you? No, they are different medications, however, when a person is allergic to one medication, there is always a risk that they may find more that they are allergic to, so the only thing you can do is try one and see. The FDA warns that such medications carry the risk of being habit forming and ...
I'm trying to find out about Dipirona, if it's a narcotic? I know it's used after surgery. ## Hello, Amy! How are you? No, it is not. Many countries don't even use it, anymore, due to the evidence that was found of toxicity. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may also include nausea, dizziness and vomiting. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Dipirona is a brand name of the drug Metamizole [1]. Verwon is right that it is not a narcotic (opiate) drug. Here in the USA it is not currently available anymore. "It remained available worldwide until the 1970s, when it was discovered that the drug carries a small risk of causing agranulocytosis, a potentially fatal condition." [1]
I recently picked up some 10/325 Percocet and the imprint looks legit but the pills break apart extremely easy. They're either very old or fake. I notice that immediately around the edges looks really rough...almost like they went through the washer or something. Is there an easy way to tell the difference between old pills and fake pills? I can break them with my hand really easily but it seems like you'd be able to do this if they were put in water or something. ## If you got them from a pharmacy they are legimate. Sometimes the appearance and consistency of medications change with different manufacturers. ## Sounds like the ones that just about took my life. If they didn't come from a pharmacy then its definitely not worth the risk of your life! The edges have a bit of a ...
I'm going to have a stress test tomorrow & im not supposed to take Fiorinol does hydroco/APAP Tab 10-325 ## Hello, Pat! How are you? No, the active ingredients are Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Has anyone else experienced weight loss while taking tramadol? I started taking 1-2 50mg tabs a day and 3 months in I'm now taking 4-6. I have dropped 15 pounds without even trying and I think it's from the meds. It's not a bad thing, just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Overall I really like tramadol, it has worked better for me than norcos and oxycodone both. To me it's a wonder-drug that has helped my pain, and my anxiety! ## Hello, Tiff! How are you doing? According to FDA reports, it has been known to cause appetite loss and weight loss, in some people that take it. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I'm in generally good health, but I asked my doctor for Vicodin to have on hand for occasional aches & pains and he prescribed 30 tabs (10mg). Question: generally speaking, how often can I ask for a refill without raising a red flag? ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? Unfortunately, there's no hard and fast rule I can give you for this. It really depends on your doctor, how understanding they are and how long they expect that prescription to last. It it was for 'occasional' use, they may expect it last you a few months. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did you pharmacy list how many days supply it's expec...
I have been on tranquil 50mg for some time, the refil revived first of week has no/ nothing results can not tell anything has been taken. I do not trembler # or letters on previous refills? What can be wrong? ## Hello, Jane! How are you? Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, and they do not have to measure against each other, just the name brand. The FDA considers that an acceptable therapeutic window and, in most cases, people don't notice any difference. However, in case where someone has been taking the name brand, or one from a certain manufacturer for a long period of time, a sudden change might cause some problems. Thus, my best guess is that this one is s...
I'm on Opana IR 10mg but have been throwing them up bc I've been sick & have issues swallowing. The doctor knows this but still... Anyway, I just wanted to ask, if I take oxycodone and still have opana to take before my appt, and she does a urine dip in office, what does it show as? Or would it show as the same - opiates? I've seen several posts saying that oxycodone will show as oxymorphone but oxymorphone won't show as oxycodone. Is that possible?! I have scripts for oxy, opana & even Vicodin, so I can cover myself if need be. And I'm sure she will understand why I had to take the other med. I just want to know what to expect. And oxymorphone is not oxycodone & morphine right? I've been itching a lot since starting opana and I've been wondering ...
Ok...I am going to ask a very specific question. I am NOT a drug abuser nor have I ever been. I got my foot caught in the smallest and last loop on a Hoyer lift sling used to transfer non-ambulatory clients. I went a few feet, but then my world changed in an instant. The gentleman sitting on the sling wasn't going anywhere..he was safe. When I reached the slack limit on the sling, I went up in the air and twisted 180 degrees. I came down EXTREMELY hard on my right knee and the rest of me crumpled down on top. I curled up in a fetal position and saw stars for 20 minutes. The rest of my co-workers were doing ADL care with the other 7 residents of this eight bed state-funded group home serving the developmentally disabled in Massachusetts. So after quite a few minutes, I got up, could ...
I ordered what I hope is Hydrocodone from Meds-easy. They came in a zip bag, white, round, scored one one side, and no imprint. I took half of one pill, waiting to see what happens. Has anyone seen a pill like this, the packages usually come from India, but this came from Pakistan. I am worried that it could be something really bad. So far, this site hasn't let me down. But it took an extra month to get these meds. ## If there are no markings on it, then it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what you received. Where they supposed to be just Hydrocodone or the generic for Vicodin, which contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen? Is anyone else familiar with these tablets? Is there a manufacturer name on the packaging, or anything? ## NEVER take ANY pill that has no markings a...
My prescription has always had the label, Watson on one side the other 3202 white oval tablet. This month my refill is different, white oval tablet with #2172 on one side. They told me they're from a different manufacturer, and they seem to not help as much. Is this a weaker brand, was told possibly a (placebo) can you advise me ? Thank you. ## Hello, David! How are you? Has there been any change? It is not a placebo, but there have been many complaints about it lacking efficacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may need to consult your doctor about taking an alternative medication, for awhile, until you can find a ...
8 e 30 mg oxicodone pills how do they work and make you feel? I am hurting throughout my whole body. ## They are a narcotic analgesic, so they work by attaching to the opiate receptors in the brain and blocking the pain single. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took a lil piece is suboxen around 830 am and now my tooth hurting and i wanted to no if its ok to take a percocet. 10 mg now for my tooth remember i only took a lil corner of the suboxen ## The Suboxone usually blocks the effects of other opiates for approximately 3 days, after taking it. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
what is hydrocodoneI8 ## I've heard of Hydrocodone, but not of Hydrocodonei8 - where did you see this? Or is i8 the imprint on a pill you have? ## The pill is oval in shape, white no score mark, and has the imprint of I8 on it. I was told it is hydrocodone. When i searched it out it siad it looks out on the medical it said it remsembles a M360 Hydro ## Would you happen to know what country this medication was obtained from? If it is from the United States, then the predominant possibility is that it is actually an Ibuprofen 800 mg. Another similar marking is IB (instead of an 8), and that's a 200 mg Ibuprofen. Are there any other details which can be included? ## if the I8 is really IB except for the use of my magnifier it is an I8, not B. what is the imprint I9?
I am in long beach, Ca where can i get my prescription filled norco 10-325 ive tried almost everywhere ## Hello, Walter! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. However, we are now into the time of year when shortages of controlled substances usually occur due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their allotted yearly limit, they cannot manufacture any new product, until after the new year. Each year, demand inevitably exceeds supply and shortages occur for the last few months. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best suggestion I can make is to ask your regular pharmacy what they do have in s...
I've been taking Percocet for years and am in pain management. This time my pharmacy had these a 333 instead if the watsons I normally get. Now I have taken every brand if Percocet there is and yes some are better than others but THESE, These are awful! I feel as if I took nothing at all! I actually have withdrawl symptoms! Something is not right with these! I googled it to see if it is just me but I see from reading posts here that it's not just me. This is. Nightmare! I'm in so much pain and am stuck with these for a month! I'm so upset that drug companies can get Way with this!!! ## I am very, very sorry that you are having a problem with these pills. I feel bad for everyone that's been taking them, it seems they just aren't working, at all. I really think tha...
this pill is round shaped, peach/orange colored, with the letter M on one side and the letters MS 60 on the other side. ## I don't have a picture to post for you, but I can confirm that a tablet with the M MS60 marking that's described as round and peach colored does contain 60mgs of Morphine in a time released formulation. Learn more Morphine details here. Where was it found? ## Is there a company making Morphine 60mg round pills which are orange in color but this orange isn't a coating that's normally found with Morphine 60mg pills. Just wondering if there is such a thing? "The pill is orange all the way through it, WITHOUT the normal coating of abg or M logos." ## I am prescribed 60 mg morphine sulfate er, usually round with a coating. When I got them filled t...
I take xanax and adderall on regular basis no painkillers at all if I took one percoset wouldn't show up in a urine by tomorrow? ## Yes it takes atleast 72 hours to get painkillers out of your system and if your a little heavy it will store in your fat cells so could take an extra day or two. ## I took three percets last night for pain and I have to get blood test for drs tomorrow morning.I drank detox juice I bought at herbal store.will they still show up in test ## I would like to know how long does Percocet stay in ur blood and urine and if it's longer if ur pregnant(no I am not pregnant) ## How long does percocet stay in yor blood? Im asking for a drug test.
I have had a couple of blackouts when the dosage was too high. It sure is scary ## i had the same thing when i had the doctor advise me to go up to 150 mg, three times a day i had weird blackout type memory problems so i had cut back, and only took the 150 mg two times which the problems went away after the higher dose was out of my system, ## i have ended up in my recliner by the wood stove twice, middle of the night. i woke up and didn't remember going out there. if i lower the dose the pain is unbearable. this drug is the worst i have ever experienced, horrible drug, don't start! ## My husband had been taking 600 mg of Lyrica and cut back a little because he was not sure it was helping. He would get into what I called zones. LIke he didn't know what was going on and talki...
My mother is having such a difficult time finding a pharmacy that has her morphine sulfate 100 mg. Her normal pharmacy does not have them, she has been on medication since her accident 18 years ago, so you can imagine what her body goes through when she is without them due to the pharmacy not having them in stock! I'm sick of the pharmacies treating people with real problems and who SERIOUSLY need the medication, bad because of the other people who ruin it for them. Does anyone have any suggestions of pharmacies? We've called and gone to all we can think of. ## Hello, Val! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're mother is having. Due to mandatory manufacturing limits, there is almost always a shortage of controlled substances during the first part of an...
