They were put in my purse and my daughter came here with her friend who's a kleptomaniac (i was told after the incident). I always divide my new meds in half and keep the 1 half in my bag, and I buried the 2nd in a makeup bag at the bottom where you can't see them unless you're looking through it. And mind you, i gave no permission to go in my purse. I got up and literally ran to get water. Came back and noticed that my bag wasn't looking right but i didn't think much of it. So after i got some water she all of the sudden had to go and rushed out the door. So i went in my bag to pull meds out to set up my pill holder for the next day and it smacked me in the face that the bottle that i put 70 in was stole...
I just need something to take the edge off my degenerative back disease and muscle skeletal pain/arthritis.... Please help me find an alternative to the doctor's pain medication. I think something very natural would work and I am open to anything. Thanks. ## There's really nothing guaranteed to work, going by FDA reports, though some people do seem to have good luck with some of them. What medication did your doctor prescribe? Was it an opiate? Are you on any other medications?
Recently got prescribed narcos round white chalky ish u01 .5 mg they suck they do not work we want the old Watson's or the yellow the user 1.5 do not work they are horrible I don't know what the deal is made in China do not know they do not work who's also use 05 I believe so that are 10 mg they don't work either those are oblong white and chalky they do not work start a protest ## Hello, Troy boy! How are you? What symptoms are you experiencing that make you feel it isn't working? Are you just still in pain, or are you experiencing unusual symptoms? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
Found a few ketorolac in my back yard and my good friend said it's an oxycodone... Worried if it is cause their little one is playing around my backyard. I have searched everywhere and picked them all up... Will be handing the to a pharmacy to get rid of them. ## Hi Kenzi. Both Ketorolac and Oxycodone are used to treat pain. They are in different classes of drugs though. Ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), whereas Oxycodone is an opiate (narcotic) pain killer. So they are in different families. Can I ask exactly what the pills you found look like? Color / shape / markings on them? It may be possible to properly identify them that way. ## The pills are white..round and have letters KE and number 10 on them.. ## Ok, yes, I can confirm that those are Ketorolac (...
I am trying to decrease the pain meds I am taking. I was taking one 30mg tab twice daily. Recently I forgot and skipped a dose felt fine, I realized it had a half life but I was ok. So I've been at that dose for three day s and I'm still ok. Should I continue with 30mg once a day or should I cut one in half and take it twice a day. I thought I read that ER pills should not be cut. Is this true. Thank you ## That is correct, it is not safe to cut time released tablets, that could result in your getting too much medication, at once, and it could result in an overdose. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, you can speak to your doctor about tap...
Consider this! With the change related to Oxycontin my problem is the OP type of Medication just doesn't work! So... My doctor has added additonal 30mg Oxycodone's to my monthly medication list. The problem we are having is coming up with a near equal dosage. Depending upon which phamacist you talk to we are getting differnet answers. It doesn't matter howe many tablets you are prescribed the research is done by considering one 80mg Oxycodone and trying to come up wit hthe equal dosage using 30mg Oxycodone. Opinion's - One 80mg Oxycontin is supposed to last 12 hours giving 80 mg of oxycodone for the ful 12 hours, so if that is true then there has to be 960mg. of Oxycodone in each 80 mg Oxycontin. 30mg of Oxycodone tablets are prescribed for 3 - 4 hours. So it would take ...
I believe the norco is 5mgs like every 4 to 6 hours as needed. She was aware that I take the oxycodone 10 4 times a day this was added for break thru pain and to keep ahead of the pain went to get script filled she (pharmacist) informed me that she would have to call surgeon and pain doctor to clear to fill this med. I'm in unbearable pain. The pain doc already knew I had informed him that I was having surgery and wanted to let him know she may prescribe other pain meds being I'm on a contract I did not want to break he understood. Vice-versa, I told surgeon about oxycodone still pharmacy didn't wanna fill? Said they called and was closed. Although I called and they we're there any help info would be greatly appreciated thanks. ## Have you tried telling your doctor's...
Is this medication prescribed for certain patients only? I have seen some kind of program. You have to be in rims access program prescribers patients, and the pharmacies have to take an internet class. ## Yes, I took fentanyl for fifteen yrs orally and now just patches. The form is easy - just fill it out and have your Dr. fill one. If he prescribes fentanyl he is already registered, then most major pharmacies will be registered. If not call rims and they can tell you what pharmacies near you are. Worst case, you have to have the pharmacist fill out form, they might be able to do over the phone. ## So how much better is the mist an I been on opiates 15+ years it's getting were I'm in pain on my meds so is it hard to get the apartment mist ## Wikipedia lists the following (estima...

Does anyone understand the new opioid law that was recently passed? It seems doctors can not prescribe 30 milligrams of oxycodone without being hospitalized, or a cancer patient. What is going to happen to all the chronic pain patients? The suicide rate will go up, and illicit drugs will be used as a substitute. This law helps no one, but hurts all chronic pain sufferers. The government has gone crazy, and in their infinite wisdom overstepped their bounds, they are not doctors. ## It isn't that they can't prescribe it, it is just that they have to be very, very careful about doing so, or they could risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time. This has made many doctors very reluctant to prescribe it and, in most cases, someone has to see a spec...
I am inquiring about double dosing loratab 10 mg' s. I have taken 1 every 6 hours as my Dr. prescripted. I asked him if in times of intolerable pain if I could double the dose, He advised against it. However; I tried this anyway, needless to say really, I CAUTION YOU DO NOT DRIVE UNDER THIS CONDITION!! After about 30 minutes I felt like I was laying on floating cloud suspended in the air. I took the loritabs at 7pm, last thing I remember was getting real drowsy then waking up at about 10:30 the next morning. I told my Dr. about what I'd done. He started with the other harmful effects, such as liver and heart damage and other vital organs. His biggest concern was !!ADDICTION!! Now I only take what I'm prescribed. I will also say that was the best pain free night of what I rem...
I'm in search of what this pill is... I cannot find it on the online and need help... Thank you. ## In need of help finding out what I found ... a pink pill w A215 ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Have you found anything, yet? I'm sorry, I've checked several databases, provided by the NIH and the FDA, but they all list the tablet with this marking as being blue, not pink. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? Thank you! For anyone looking for information on the blue on, it is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth.

They look the same and both descriptions say hydrocodone / acetaminophen 10-325 mg. Is there a difference and are they interchangeable? ## Actually, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals list the tablet with the M 366 marking as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, and they list the one with the M 367 marking as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so they are different. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have to tae a drug test for probation on the 29th of september. For some reason the oxy 80 oc's stayed in my system sometimes for as long as 14 days and were then detected in a drug test preformed by my p.o. My question is.....is the detiction time for these new op oxy's the same as the old oc oxy's?or is it detected in your system for longer? ## It contains the exact same active ingredient, Oxycodone, so it will be detectable for about the same time. The length of time it stays in your system can vary, depending on how long you were taking it and how high of an amount. Do you have any other questions? ## I took 3 40 mg tablets n 3 days. How long will they stay in my system? I have a high metabolism, weigh about 120 and I only took it those 3 times with the 8th being the l...

I've been on Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5/325 since 2000, for osteoarthritis. What is the best way to stop taking them? Do I slowly back out of them? I'm in my seventies and I fear the withdrawal symptoms will be too much for me. I'm also concerned that I will suddenly be told I won't be able to take them anymore. Due to the current attitude and caution about opioids, I skipped some doses in order to have extras, in case. I want to have some extra pills available so I can back out of this drug more slowly if this happens. I'd like to be able to stop taking them completely and still have a life and the ability to do things for myself. ## How often are you taking them ? If you are taking them several times a day, you can take 1/2 a tablet instead of a whole tablet for s...
I have a close family member who has been in pain management for more than 10 years. We are now having great difficulty finding a pain management practice that will prescribe meds for his disabling pain issues. My family member has never abused drugs or substances of any kind and has tried every alternative to medication offered him. How is it that people who have been addicted to drugs, legal or illegal, can continue to go to clinics and receive maintenance medications, but my family member is unable to find a medical practice who will prescribe meds for him so that he can function and have some quality of life? ## Is he actually asking them prescribe medications? If so, most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior, which they are taught under AMA guidelines. The best thing to d...
My son just called me from the hospital. He said they're giving him narcotic pain medication through his IV that starts with the letter B. ## It could possibly be Buprenorphine, it is an opiate that is also used to treat drug addiction, but helps with pain for some people. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Another possibility is Butorphanol, it carries the same risk and causes the same side effects. Can he ask them what they are giving him?
I am allergic to oxycodone and morphine. Could Indomethacin be a better alternative and will I have the same results since I know I am not allergic to this? ## The FDA classifies Indomethacin as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it is not as potent as opiates, but it is effective at helping with pain in some people that take it. Its typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Have you tried taking it, yet? If so, is it helping?
