If not, has the patent been sold to another producer? ## The name brand MS Contin is still owned and manufactured by Purdue Pharma, according to FDA listings, but there are generics, and other formulations available. Please boycott Aurolife Pharmaceuticals. Ask your pharmacy and pharmacists NOT to purchase their products. Their medications are extremely cheap and cheaply made, causing horrible side effects. No offense to anyone but, their acetaminophen/oxycodone made me feel like a chemo treatment and my back pain never stopped!!! ## I am very sorry about the problems you experienced and that you were left so miserable. Unfortunately, many pharmacists are not the decision makers on which manufacturer's products are available in the pharmacy they work at. who is the manufacturer of oxycodone? ## Oxycodone is a generic medication, so there are actually several companies that make it. Are there any markings on the tablet in question? This information would enable me to answer your question. ## I just got the script. My PCP prescribed Percocet 5/325, two tablets twice daily for years of low back pain associated with 2 compressed disks & a fractured vertabra causing right leg & foot numbness. Recently she had me urine tested.I did an at home test & came positive for oxycodone.No surprise, since I was taking it as directed.She stopped prescribing them saying I was negative which meant I wasn't absorbing them (because of my gastric bypass) or I was filtering my drugs to others or selling! This worked for me. Cut dose by 20% each week, just keep doing it. When you cut the dose, use a sativa strain marijuana in low dose during day, and an indica marijuana at night. You may want to use the marijuana every day during your taper. The marijauana all but eliminates any craving, and you will manage easily with the 20% taper. By the time you have gotten down to a minimal dose you will be free and not have suffered withdrawal to any great degree. I found the marijuana helped with my chronic pain, and use it at night the odd day when it is bad. Being free of opiates is the best thing I ever did, having a doctor so willing to up the dose and prescribe even the fentanyl patch was my problem in the first place. However many patients have filed complaints about pain meds coming from this particular manufacturer due to a lack of efficacy compared to other manufacturer's brands/generics. I don't understand why now, that i'm getting sent to a pain management, instead of staying with my regular primary doctor, that I have been going through, after these last two years or so? I took two 50mg ultrams Saturday and have a urine screen Wednesday. Will they be out of my system? ## Is it a urine screen, or saliva? They are different, therefore the answer is different. I take meds less than prescribed. I take a 15mg oxy and break it in half, then quarter it, so the last two days I have been taking a quarter of the 15mg. One quarter today, and hopefully none until Monday's drug test. If I drink a lot of water should I be ok? It is for pre-employment, and I have been turned away even though I have a script for it. So I went cold turkey, because it is none of their business. Any thoughts? I weigh 140 and am 5'8" female. If one IP 110 10mg/325mg doesn't work, will 2 work? ## This contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, this is a narcotic pain reliever. The Hydrocodone could cause central nervous system depression, since it is a narcotic, so it is not advisable to double up, without your doctor instructing you to do so. In addition, too much Acetaminophen in a day can be toxic, so you have to be careful of it, as well. I was prescribed hydrocodone 7.5 and 10's will my insurance cover both. or do I pay for one and let my insurance pay the other ## This is really going to depend on the method in which they were prescribed. For instance, if you received one prescription from one doctor and the other from a different doctor, it is going to be considered fraudulent to have them both filled. Generally, the only way it would be acceptable to have them both filled is if you'd gone to a doctor and were prescribed the lower dose one, had it filled, discovered it wasn't strong enough to handle your pain, then returned to inform them of that and as a result they prescribed the higher dosage. I was taking the fentanyl patch for a month at 50mcg every 72 hours. Then pain management dropped the ball and I was not able to get the patch again. My body feels achy, numb and I feel horrible!!
